Democratic Party + Super Delegates = Implosion?

As things move forward it is looking more and more like an Obama win in the popular vote for the Democratic nomination. What happens if he does not get enough votes to secure the nomination? It is looking more and more like Hillary was wise to spend money on back room deals with Super Delegates to secure her win.

Should things go to the convention tied or very close but with no clear winner I think you will see Hillary’s back room work on these Super Delegates come into play to tip things over to her side. You Dems seem all proud that you think you have a say in this. . . your popular vote will mean nothing and the back room deals will seal who you get as a candidate. . . and don’t expect Obama to win that one, the Clintons have been putting out too much in money and favors for years to let this get away. Super Delegates – further proof that even in their own party the guys in charge feel that they need insurance that the leaderships pick will win because you are too dumb to vote for the right person. But, just in case you are afflicted with free thought don’t worry, those Super Delegates will pick for you and fix it all up. You silly little voter, you thought they would listen to you? Now now, don’t get too upset, we know what we are doing, you just go back and play with your toys while we fix this election for you. . . ..

This could be a great deal for the Republicans. . . You thing they have fall out over McCain you ain’t seen nothing yet. Wait till all the hippies, liberals and free thinkers find out that they really don’t have a say in this and that the good ol’ boys network of the party has already decided for them who will run. This could be a fantastic implosion of the party. Think of all the voters that will be pissed off to find out that they and their vote didn’t count for squat. . . . Hopefully they will stay home instead of just bending over and taking it from the party. If they do (and I would, just to show them what I thought) then things get much easier for McCain. Hell, they may just because McCain is a Dem anyway so they have little to lose by making a statement if there candidate choice gets hijacked. The Republicans may not like McCain but at least he is winning by the rules and they get to vote on it. . . The Democrats obviously don’t trust their own people to pick, they need their Super Delegates to make sure the “right” one wins. . . . or in this case – Hillary

We may not come out of this election with just the Republican party doing damage control, the Democrats look to be about to self destruct too. . . . going to be a hell of a ride folks.
