The Conservative Vote in November

I am hoping that the Republican and Conservative voters will turn out in November if for no other reason than to get Congress back into REAL Conservative hands. After all, it is Congress that makes the laws and taxes. Sure the Pres can veto them but he can not get them passed if Congress says no.

Those of us that want this county to go back to lower taxes, less welfare state, less nanny state and just plane smaller government that stays out of our lives may have to change our goals. The Presidency may be lost to us but if we can retake Congress then we can minimize the damage done to the country. If we can do that, maybe, just maybe we can get the Republicans and the conservatives back on track. We need to undo the damage of 16 years. . . Clinton and Bush have badly damaged our republic, we need to start to heal and repair it. Maybe the day of the Republican party is over, but we can not let the day of the Constitutionalist pass.

If we let this country go down the politically correct path the liberals want we will end up in the same place that the UK and France are in now. That is our future if we don’t step up and vote in people that will stand for a strong US. We need to focus on ourselves for the foreseeable future and stop trying to fix everywhere else in the world. Our borders are open, our economy is failing, and we are a divided people. As has been said by people better than me a divided house can not stand. . . we need to pull this together, get back to the basics that our founding fathers built this country on. We are good at fixing things if we would stop fighting with each other. We need someone in the White House without all the baggage and division Clinton would bring. We need to build up our pride again and get people back to work and off the public dole. We need to stop the outsourcing of our jobs, and stop the inflow of illegal’s. I am not against immigration, but we need to control who comes here. They must have skills we need, and they must want to become American, not change us into where they came from. The biggest problem with the open borders is not the illegal’s, but the fact that we don’t know who is coming in. If we can’t stop folks at the border how do we defend ourselves from those that would hurt us. It is only a matter of time until the terrorists get someone in through our unguarded borders. Heck, they probably already have. . . .

We need to join together, our strength is our differences. If we could only stop letting those politician scrambling for power from dividing us for their own gain we would be unstoppable. We could get back to that place where America is great, everyone wants to come here, and we can live out the dream that we are all able to get to the American Dream through hard work no matter where our ancestors came from.
