More Bail Out Info

There's $1 billion for Amtrak, the federal railroad that hasn't turned a profit in 40 years; $2 billion for child-care subsidies; $50 million for that great engine of job creation, the National Endowment for the Arts; $400 million for global-warming research and another $2.4 billion for carbon-capture demonstration projects. There's even $650 million on top of the billions already doled out to pay for digital TV conversion coupons.

Yep, no pork in this bill folks. . . no wonder they want to force it through before we know what we are paying for. . .

And for MA:

Massachusetts' share of the "stimulus" bill? $11 billion.

Number of jobs "created or saved" in MA, according to a report in the Boston Globe-Democrat? 94,560.

Assuming this is accurate, the net cost to taxpayers? $116,328 per job.

Yep, real winner there. . . . can't wait.

Hears to HOPE that the Senate Republicans have CHANGEd to conservatives and vote against it.
