Mr Obama's sartorial standards are looser than Mr Bush's. The report said the US capital "flew into a bit of a tizzy" when, on his first full day in the White House, Mr Obama was photographed in the Oval Office without his suit jacket. There was, however, a logical explanation, the paper found: Mr Obama, who hates the cold, had cranked up the thermostat.
"He's from Hawaii, OK?" Mr Axelrod told the paper. "He likes it warm. You could grow orchids in there."
He is quick to tell us we can't keep our house at 72 F but he can keep his warm enough to "grow orchids". . . this guy turns more and more into a joke every day. From the campaign trail:
"We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK," Obama said.
Throw on top of this that he is tossing out formality in the Oval Office. You don't need a jacket to go in any more. . . . what ever happened to respecting the office? He is getting lax already.
I am glad to see that he has already forgot who he works for and that he is not our king or any better than the rest of us. If you can do it as POTUS then you have no right to tell us we can't do it. Despite what they told you in Chicago the rest of the country does not live on double standards or put up with it.
