OWS Thought of the Day. . .

Can we use fire hoses on the Occupy Boston folks? If we do, will Boston face EPA fines?

Think about it. . . all the hippy filth, the human waste, medical waste and drugs would be washed away. . . where would it go??? If those storm drains in the area empty into Boston Harbor this could turn it into a Super Fund site. . . .

Hey Menino, why not try that angle, you are not failing to enforce the law by not unleashing the fire hoses on the Occupods, you are preventing an ecological disaster!

The fish of Boston Harbor thank you!

Occupy Boston is above the law. . . so says the Mayor

Well folks raise your hand if you are surprised that the Occupy Boston group is still occupying Boston despite the court order. . . .

If anyone from MA put up a hand you should be ashamed (or you live under a rock. . .)

You see Mayor Menino likes these hippie lefty commies and so they are above the law the rest of us serfs have to obey in the Peoples Republic.

The corruption here goes from the top down. You see we are against folks and any kind of “self help” which is the MA code for you standing up for your rights. We arrested the dad that stopped the illegal from molesting his kid in a supermarket bathroom a year or so ago. We arrested that guy a few weeks back who punched the drug dealer stealing tools out of his work truck. . .but no, we won’t touch the Occupy Boston folks and the disease ridden camp they put up in the middle of Boston.

You see it is against the law to camp there overnight. You also need a permit to protest there. . . ask all the other folks that had to get the permits (such as the TEA party folks). The Occupods have no permit and have been camping there for months. It has cost the city around $2 mil so far in damage and cop overtime. . . but they pay nothing. . . . and we let them.

Thank you Mayor for showing in no uncertain terms that there really are some folks who are more equal than others. . . . too bad the average American is the second class citizen here. . . .

We need to have our state cleaned out from top to bottom to end this corruption. . .

Seventy Years ago Today. . . .

While patrolling Pearl Harbor Entrance on Sunday, December 7, 1941, the U.S.S. Ward attacked an unidentified submarine in the Restricted Area off the Harbor.

The facts are as follows:

• At 0637 the Officer-of-the-Deck said, "Captain come on the bridge". A conning tower with periscope of submarine was visible. She was apparently headed for Pearl Harbor trailing the U.S.S. Antares. The Antares was standing toward the channel entrance towing a lighter.

• At 0640 the attack was started. The Ward bore down on the submarine while accelerating from 5 to 25 knots.

• At 0645 the Ward opened fire with No. 1 and 3 guns and began dropping depth charges. One shot was fired from each gun. The shot from No. 1 gun missed, passing directly over the conning tower. The shot from No. 3 gun fired at a range of 560 yards or less struck the submarine at the waterline which was the junction of the hull and coning tower. Damage was seen by several members of the crew. This was a square positive hit. There was no evidence of ricochet. The submarine was seen to heel over to starboard. The projectile was not seen to explode outside the hull of the submarine. There was no splash of any size that might results from an explosion or ricochet.

• Immediately after being hit the submarine appeared to slow and sink. She ran into our depth charge barrage and appeared to be directly over an exploding charge. The depth charges were set for 100 feet.

• The submarine sank in 1200 feet of water and could not be located with supersonic detector. There was a large amount of oil on the surface where the depth charges exploded.

• The attack was made at 0645 which was before Pearl Harbor was bombed by Japanese planes.

• A dispatch by voice transmission was sent to Commandant, Fourteenth Naval District at 0645 which stated:

• "We have attacked, fired upon, and dropped depth charges on a submarine operating in defensive sea areas."

• The performance of duty by the officers and men during this attack was in accordance with the traditions of this service.

The Japanese attacked just before 8:00 AM local time and it was all over by 10:00 AM.

Of the five midget subs sent into Pearl, none seems to have made it. Only one of the 10 crew survived and became our first POW.

Watching CNN yesterday there were only 4 survivors at the memorial. . . soon there will be none and it will be up to us to keep the memory alive. We have our work cut out for us as the schools want to forget this stuff.

Remember !

There was a time we stood up to the evil in the world and held the line. No matter what the liberals say, it was the right thing to do and we paid a hell of a price so the rest of the world could be free.

They missed our carriers. . . . .

The Dems are running scared. . .

The Dems are scared of Herman Cain. . . . and you can tell as they try
the Clarence Thomas attack on him.

They know that Obama is toast, and to have another black man running
wonl't help him if it splits the black vote. Being the party of Jim
Crow they are going to do all they can to make Cain look bad, and
don't let the facts get in the way.

This will be a story to watch. I hope he has good advisors to get out
in front of this and put an end to it. If not they will use it to
beat him out of the race. They want Romney the RINO if they can get
him.

Things are getting interesting if they are this scared so early in the
election. . . . We will need to watch what they do and don't let them
steal our election on us.

Samhain

Hope you all have a great and safe Samhain . . . That would be Halloween folks, by it's old name = )

The family has big plans to go out and about tonight but my son (who is 4) does not want to get dressed up.  I don't think he quite gets it yet.  We will see.  No point forcing him if he is not going to have fun.

And after all the trick or treat is done please take a moment and remember what the night is really all about. . . remember those loved ones who have gone before us as they may be back to check in on you tonight.  Say Hi, and let them know you still think about them!

Hey Hillary let's see if Libya becomes a radical Muslim state like it looks to be headed before we get excited on our "win" there ok?

Pulling out of Iraq. . .

OK, so all the troops are coming home from Iraq. . .

ALL OF THEM!

Thank you Obama for so weakening us that the Iraqi people don’t see any advantage to letting us keep a base there. We lost the chance to have a few troops stay there to keep an eye on things because of Obama and his failed policies. . .

To add insult to injury he has been unable to show Iraq the advantage of being our friend over Iran . . . so Iran has more pull there than we do. . . that is why we are out, that is why Iran will call this a win, and that is why we are weaker now than we were before Obama. . .

Thanks for the change, I hope the rest of the country see the danger you have put us all in.

American Guns Show II

OK, this show seems to be more about how much it all costs and how much Dad can spend and less about the guns. . .  And I am not sure what the show is rated, but if the wife's shirt gets any lower cut it wil have to be pay per view.

I don't know, I can't pin it down exactly but the show just does not due enough on the guns and stuff, it is too much about the business.  Seems like Dad wants the world to know how rich he is. . . see I play like the rich and famous. . .  . Dad is all about bets, and giving away money. . . see I can afford it!

Just not liking this.

I think the problem is that I can see myself shooting with the folks from Son's of Gun's.  They come across as cool folks the would shoot a blogger shoot with ya and enjoy it - folks you just would love to sit and talk guns with. . . . .

The folks at American Gun's just don't fit that mold.  Dad seems like a used car salesmen, they are just not folks I would want to sit down and swap stories, and shoot guns with. . . .

American Guns

Watching the first show for American Guns. .  .

I gotta say I had high hopes for the show after watching what they did with Sons of Guns. . . . not going there. . . .

So far the guns are fun, but they seem more interested in showing off his wife's rack and putting the daughter in tight cloths than doing the show.  They just come across as blow hard's.  The Dad talks too much and wants to tell everyone how to do their jobs. ..  if they can't do the job why did he hire them?  He also seems like a show off.  I don't really want to be talked down to.  I know guns, don't talk to me like I am an idiot. . . and what the heck are the motor cycles all about????? I thought this was a gun show.

He does go out to do a deal buying guns from a rancher. . . seemed OK, and a bit of long range shooting but just not that interesting.  Really turned me off when he is lecturing (that is how it came across) the guy about his own guns. . .  if he is a real gun nut I be he already knows all about the history of his guns. . . you want to educate the viewer why not both talk about them?  Again, just not that likable - he seems a show off, he is the guy that has to brag and show how he is better than you or has better toys. . . like the helicopter ride to the ranch. . . .

As for the kids, the son seems OK, but the daughter seems like a Paris Hilton want to be walking around with her dog.  Don't get me started on her sales. . . she seems to sell on looks, not skill. .  .  If this show is going to be about tight clothes and boobs it ain't gonna last.  Spoiled kids don' tmake a great show either. . .

The show seems OK so far but the folks are not likable.  I hope it gets better.  I am going to give it one more show and see how it goes.  I gotta say, I love Son's of Guns and was hopping this show would tide me over to the next season but I am just not sure. . . . .

Occupods under attack

So today NY City will move against Occupy Wall Street to try and clean up the mess they have made . . . And will move them off the spot.

Of course they say "NO"

This will get interesting.   Here comes the violence folks, we all knew it would.  I think it will be fun to watch the  old hippies and their foolish college kids get worked over by the cops.  Sorry, but it is about time someone stood up to them and said "you have to obey the law like the rest of us".

In Boston we need to do the same thing, but the Mayor has no guts to do it.  He likes them so they don't have to have permits and such to march.  I think every group that payed for a permit in the last year should sue the city for their money back.  Obviously you no longer need permits in Boston right?   We are all equal under the law RIGHT?

Occupy Boston. . . .

And the debate and protests go on. . . .

Many cities still have occupy XYZ folks in their cities taking up space. I personally don’t get it. From all the reports I have seen on this we have two real groups here.

The first is the college kids who are blindly following the leaders and having fun playing 1960’s hippy all over again. They are calling for shit - $20 minimum wage, guaranteed work even though they aren’t qualified, forgiveness of all debit and the destruction of democracy (yes, that was what LA called for on Facebook). These kids are acting like what they are, spoiled products of the give me generations. They want it all handed to them, don’t you dare ask that they work for it or get their hands dirty, you owe them. . . . And their leaders want nothing less than the end to our way of life. Welcome to the new world comrade! Socialism is the way! These kids have fallen for it all the way. They have never worked a day in their lives that meant anything. Mom and Dad always bailed them out yet they think they are adults and are in control. . . . . how easily they are lead by the unions and leftists.

Then we have the second group. They want the government changed to be more responsive to the people instead of special interest. They want to get rid of government pay outs and offs to big business and Wall Street.

This second group makes sense in what they want. What doesn’t make sense about them is that there is already a group calling for the same thing that is well established and making progress –The Tea Party.

Why won’t they join the Tea Party and help us move this country back to the Constitution and rule of law?

And when will the cities like Boston wake up and treat everyone the same like our Constitution calls for? You see since they are lefties and the Mayor here is a socialist too they are letting these protests go on even though they have broken multiple laws. They have no permits, they are setting up camps and staying overnight where it is illegal to do so. . . . What do you think would happen if the Tea Party or any other group tried this. . . . Ya, mass arrests.

I think the best way to end this and bring us all back under the rule of law is for any group that had to pay for a protest permit in say the last year should sue Boston for their money back. They were not treated equally under the law. They should have been, lets fix that by making Boston pay them back. . . I bet that would get the Mayor’s attention – especially because it costs him $$$$.

We are all supposed to be equal under the law, that means you treat all groups the same no matter what Boston! We don’t care if you like them or not, we all have the same First Amendment rights and if you won’t enforce them equally we will make you!

Occupy Your City

I hate to say this folks but this may be the start.

We now have bunches of kids who don't know shit protesting in the cities and trying to take over.  They demand foolish things they can't get like lifetime jobs, minimum wage of $20 an hour, all debt paid off. . .

And now that it is on, the unions are getting into it.  Once they get in like a tick you won't get them out.  I fear soon the union thugs will introduce violence to the protests then were will it go??? That is the questions isn't it?

In Boston the city and cops are not enforcing the laws and are letting them protest without permits, sleep overnight on the green way where it is prohibited. . . . it goes on.

We are quickly getting to the point were we are looking at some people being more equal than the rest of us.  They are now above the law.

If this keeps going this thing will go violent at some point, then the fun part is putting the genie back into the bottle. . .  if we can.  If we can't then the left and right will pick their sides and our next civil war will be on.  The USA rests in the balance. . . we will either be a republic or a communist country when it is over and our kids will have to deal with it.

Don't even get me started as to what this will do to the world economy.  .  . . . .  going to be a hell of a ride folks.

Ten Years Later

So, 10 years have gone by since the 9/11 attacks. . . . not sure what to say to that.

I know lots of folks are putting up tributes and talking about the heros of the day and such, so I won’t go there.

What I will do is tell you what has been on my mind. First I expect another attack. I don’t see this as an if, but a when. They will do it. May not be as big but they will do it. Be ready.

Second, I remember the kids. I was at work the day of the attacks and felt like I was living something out of a Tom Clancy novel as we watched it unfold. I didn’t notice that one of my department folks had gone home. . . . his brother who also worked at the company had been on flt 11. . . . .

It took a few days for the news to get around the company once it had been confirmed. See he was supposed to have gone to LA that Sunday but stayed home to catch his kids soccer game and grabbed the first flight out the next day. . . . 9/11/01. Fate I guess.

A month or so later there was a memorial service for him once they realized there would be no body found. The whole company went. I met his wife and kids, probably 8-10 years old at the time. Old enough to know dad was not coming back, but probably not old enough to understand why he was killed. Their family was from the Middle East, (not Saudi) so in some ways their own folks did this to them. . . .

Now every anniversary of the attacks the first think that hits me is how old the kids are now, and I wonder how they are doing. I left that company years ago and have no idea. By now they may be in college, or at least high school. I pray they are doing well.

My memories of the attack are only a few. We were scared, I left work in Boston as soon as we got the OK, I wanted to be out of the city not knowing what was next. Then a week or more with no airplanes in the sky. When you work in Boston and there are not airplanes in the sky it is a really weird feeling. You don’t hear them, you don’t see them. It is just wrong..

I always was a gun rights person and a believer in our Constitution and this just enforced that. I watched the sheep rush to give up our rights in the name of safety and I watched the government run out of control to “protect” us. . . Most of which I don’t think would pass Constitutional testing but we let them do it. And in doing so we let the terrorist win. With ever right we give up, every liberty we let them take away, ever extra power over us we give them we lose a bit more and they win. Yes we have damaged Al Qaeda but they are still here, and they have friends. Life goes on, and the fight is still going on unfortunately. . . .

So folks watch yourself around this anniversary. Hug your loved ones, thank the vets, and be ready for whatever they have planned next.

Boston wants to licence Knives

So here we go again.  Boston wants to take away your knife - why?  Well because taking away your gun has made the city so much safer. . . for the thugs.. .

No idea what these fools are doing now.  We only have to look at the UK and their gun and knife laws to see this won't work.  In the UK they outlawed guns - violent crime went up.  They outlawed knives. . . crime still up.  They prosecute the victim if they try to defend themselves. . . Crime going up. . .

Anyone else see a trend here??

You know, it is almost like they don't care about you or me or any other law abiding folks, they care about the criminals.  That and CONTROL.

Folks all of this is about control of our lives, and has nothing to do with guns or knives.  they want us disarmed, they want us to be sheep, and to quietly do whatever they tell us.  This is how freedom ends, this is how the USA will end if we let them get away with it.

If you live in Boston call or write the city council and tell the to quit playing games and actually do something about crime, like hire more cops, or push for actual punishment for criminals.  This is the end result of the Massachusetts revolving door on our prisons.  No punishment for the criminal, and more rules for the law abiding folks.

This is the end result of one party (Democrat) rule in our state.  Hope you are all happy and your chains rest lightly on you.  Me, I can't wait to move out of here for I fear this state is lost.  It sure as hell is no safe place to raise a family. . ..

Union Thugs for Obama

"Everybody here has a vote," Hoffa said. "Keep the eye on the prize. Let's take these sons of bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong."

And they say we are the ones calling for violence. . . Sounds like union thugs being union thugs and trying to force their way on us.

Keep this in mind folks, they are the ones who are intolerant, they are the ones calling for violence, and they are the ones that want to rule.

Guns go Mainstream

It was great to see on tv this morning. . .

While looking for something to watch on TV our cable has a channel called Verses which is part of NBC Sports.

They had two great shows on, one on Three Gun Challenges and the sport in general.  Lots of good info and a look at the shooting sports.  It was followed by a Guns and Gear show that went over guns, and gear such things like laser practice stuff and holsters, sights . . .

Both shows were good, and it was GREAT to see them on TV.  I think this shows we are winning the hearts and minds.  Guns are becoming normal again. . .

Save that DVD

Folks if you have damaged DVDs (or a 4 yr old like me) then you need to fix them.

For a few weeks now I have been playing with the latest attempt by us to fix the kids DVD collection instead of having to buy new ones over and over.  I got one of the JFJ Easy Pro disk fixing systems and I have to say after a bit of practice it works GREAT!

So far I have saved at least one Wii game, and a half dozen or more DVDs.

Now the system costs a bit, I think we paid $120 for it on Amazon and a bit more for new supplies (sanding disks and such) but I still think it was worth it.  For about $150 I have saved at least that in DVDs.  Some of which I can't buy any more (Disney specials for example)

I have got to give them two thumbs up and recommend them if you need to fix a CD or DVD.  And for the record, no I have not received anything from JFJ for this review. . . .

This is GREAT!

Borepatch hit one out of the park today in my book, go give it a read. . .

This is one of the best explanations of work relations I have yet to see. . .

Links

Folks, if you link to me please let me know and I will add a reciprocal link.  I think I have already linked to my five readers but if there are more please let me know. . . .

Thanks

blooger list update

Ok, updated the list of folks I have met, with the exception of Zercool, for some reasion  I can't get blogger to add him to that list, but I can get it to add it to my blog list. . . .

Anyway sorry for the delay it has been a while since the shoot and it was great to meet you all  . . .

Old NFO was quite a surprise since we have a mutual friend in the Navy.  We got talking and it just came out . .  I was telling him of my friend Adam and asks if his last name was X . . . I said yep, went to high school with him.

Small world folks, never know who you will meet and who they may know. . .

Another storm goes bust

And so after all the hype about Irene and the end of the world nothing happened.  We go lots of wind, some rain, and the power actually flickered a bit and went out for a minute or so.  Long enough that we noticed then came back on.

This is the way it seems to always goes here.  The news folks hype it, use it to keep the real news off the air, and show us lots of film of reporters out getting rained on and blown around but nothing happens.

Now I know down south got more damage, but still not what they said they would.

More BS and more proof that we don't have news any more, we have entertainment.  If we had news then we would be hearing about gun walker and the other problems with the Obama administration's, and about how they have failed to fix our economy, or get us back to work. . . . no, we get storm footage that shows nothing. . . .

North East Blogger Shoot

Had a great time this weekend at the 4th annual NE blogger shoot. . .

The oldest daughter and I went up for a day at the secret range to see friends, and try out lots of guns and overall have a great time.

Got to shoot a semi auto 1919. . . that was cool.  And an automatic belt fed .22  - fun and no recoil. . . and I got a good photo of me with a recoilless rifle. . .

the killer for the day was the 3" turkey shot loads. . .. in 12 ga. . .. OUCH.  I can still feel that one.

Many others have much better reviews, but let me just say it was a great way to spend the day. . . .

Don't buy a Kohler toilet

At least not if you ever want to replace the seat. .  .

Took me four trips to the local hardware store and an Internet search to find out that you can't replace a broken seat on these.  You need their special tool since you can't get to the back of the bolt to take it off. . .

So after an afternoon of back and forth, I cut the seat off, broke the bolts loose, and ended up getting a new seat and mounting it with the biggest anchors I could find and the bolts from the new seat.  It works but what a pain.

I will NEVER by another Kohler toilet.  Talk about a bad design. . .  and for the price I paid them. . . . just pisses me off.

And I learned that all the innered are special and pricey too. . .

Gay Marrage passes in NY

And I have to say good for NY.

I freely admit I was against it when it passed in MA.  Then I got further and further into the gun rights thing, and the Constitution, and finally realized I was wrong.

The state has no place in marriage beyond recording it.  The Constitution does not say a thing about it, so they leave it up to the states.  But the states should not discriminate against anyone - so beyond recording who is married and who is not it should stay out of it.

I had to learn it but what it came down to is how can I expect anyone to respect my rights - be it over the Second Amendment or any other if I don't respect and fight for theirs?

Our rights are what they are, and the government is trying to slowly take them away in it's quest for more and more control of us.  We need to stand together and hold the line.  We need to force the powers that be to see we know what our rights are and we won't give them up.

So Congrats to New York, you have not only won your right to marry, but you have won for all of us a little bit of control over our lives back.

Thanks

Al Qaeda, Gun Shows and the Media

And coming as no surprise to anyone, the Main Stream Media has fallen in with Al Qaeda and is parroting their taking points word for word.

Al Qaeda in an attempt to further dis-arm us and in showing it's desperation at coming up with some kind of attack in the US they are calling for a loan wolf attack here.  And to make it happen they are saying "go to a gun show and buy automatic weapons and attack the US"

Folks, the media is all over this as they can (and are) using it to push for more gun control.  They have signed on 100% for this lie and are pushing it.

Lets get this straight shall we?  You can not walk into a gun show and buy an automatic weapon.  ANYWHERE!

The laws around automatics are numerous and federal, so you can't just go over the state line to get one.  You have to jump through many many hoops on the fed level, such as paying fees, getting background checks and all that good stuff.  The only folks that can buy an automatic weapon have been thoroughly checked by the Fed. . .  Of course if you are up on Operation Gun Walker you know the Fed likes to give guns to the bad guys to push their anti gun agenda but that is another story.

To make a long story short, no, you can not get the guns and bombs Al Qaeda says you can at a gun show or gun shop.  It don't work that way.

Remember, gun control is not about the guns, it is about the control.  We are well armed and getting even better armed every day.  This is a problem for Al Qaeda and the loan wolf idea.  They know that. . . . One armed citizen can turn their great attack into a minor news story by taking out their lone wolf.  They need to fix that and the way to do it is to take our guns away.  Don't let them.  We won't.

Gun Nut take 2

Thinking about how I became a gun nut for the last post has got me thinking about the ride in general and how it has changed me . . .

As I said in the last post my trip to a Northeast Blogger shoot is probably what got me really into being a gun nut. It was a very interesting day. I packed up the guns I had and some ammo and headed to this shoot. . . probably a bit nuts but I did it. I didn’t know where I was going in the woods of NH, didn’t know any of the people I would meet, and I did know they would all have guns. . . . what was I nuts or something???

Anyway it was a great time and I met a bunch of great folks. The best part was not the guns (but that was fun!) The best part was the friends I made and that they challenged my thinking on many things. Up until this point I did not carry a gun, I had my permit to but didn’t. I had also not really thought too much about buying more guns beyond what I had.

All this changed that.

These folks were mostly into carrying, and they had good reasons to – self protection, protection of the family, and support of our rights. . . .

This started me on a new way to look at many things. Now I have a second degree black belt in Shotokan Karate and I have spent years studying other martial arts as well, I never thought I would need a gun. Then I went to a blogger dinner. Again great people, thoughtful conversation on guns, hobbies, family and politics that made me think more. Then on the way to my car I attracted the attention of a bunch of teens hanging out late night . . . I gut lucky and ignoring them worked but it made me think – 5 on 1 was not good, and even with Karate I was going to get hurt or loose that one. . . . . ever since I have been carrying whenever I can.

But I have been saying they make me think. . . . and that has changed many things.

As we discussed politics and gun rights with these folks I found that they were looking at a much bigger picture than I was. Gun rights are great on their own, but they also show you where a person stands on many things. These folks were pro gun but they also made a good solid argument that to support our right to bear arms against the liberals we also had to support all of the Constitution from government infringement, not just the Second Amendment. This was a new idea to me and lead to much thinking on my part.

I rather quickly realized that they were right. I could not pick and choose what rights I would support out of the Constitution or all would be lost. This lead me to shift from being rather conservative to being more of a libertarian/Constitutionalist. I went from being against things like Gay Marriage to saying I had to support their rights and protect the Constitution. If I supported the government getting into Gay Marriage then what else would they get into? I took a new look at what the government was doing on the drug war, and how they were treating our kids in schools with No Tolerance rules and laws. . . and I didn’t like what I was seeing.

My eyes were starting to open as to what the Constitution said and what the government (both Parties) were actually doing. I could see how they have for years been slowly moving away from our Constitution and our founding fathers ideal of what the USA was and pushing us toward bigger and bigger government, more and more government control of our lives. I could also see how this was a big contributor to the mess we are in now.

Big government, more control of our lives, more taxes, more jobs lost and more jobs moved over seas. . . . More spending on welfare, more lack of any personal accountability or responsibility. More poor, more division between have and have not. None of this was good and we have to get involved, vote, and make sure our elected officials know we are watching them and we want our country back – No, we are taking it back! They work for us, not the other way around.

Another change in me from the gun nut exposure is I am now more aware of what is going on around me all the time. I no longer wander through life lost in my own thoughts. I pay attention to what is around me. This has changed many things down to what I put in my pockets on the way out the door. I now won’t leave the house without my knife, a flashlight and my dad’s old lighter. I also carry a multi tool and a gun when I can. I have tools on me in case I need them. I no longer assume all is well so it will stay that way. I prepare for what if’s. I can’t tell you how handy that knife, light and multi tool have been.

And I blame all of this on becoming a gun nut. It has made me a better person and a better citizen. And I credit this on the gun nuts I have meet – some on line and some in person - who have shown me how to be that better person. . .

How I became a gun nut

Well, all the popular kids are posting on how they became a gun nut . . . . so I figured I would throw out my not so exciting two cents:

I started shooting as a kid in probably 5th or 6th grade when dad got me an air rifle, one that you could pump up to 10 time to get some real power out of. I had a great time in the yard with that. Also took out a few squirrels that had been getting in the attic too. . . It was a lot of fun to shoot, rather accurate and a number of old plastic models met there end sitting on a stump to that gun. . .

In Boy Scouts my scout master was very pro 2A and took us all out shooting a few times with .22s. I even managed to earn the Rifle and Shotgun merit badge at summer camp.

After my Granddad passed I got his gun collection and my dad gave me his two rifles. I had just got my FID and this gave me a 22 and a few other things to shoot. For years that was all I had, and it seemed enough.

Fast forward a few years and I had joined a gun range shortly after getting married. Still had the same small collection of arms but it worked for the moment. When I got laid off from work I got plenty of warning so had another job lined up. This let me take the bit of severance I go and buy my first evil assault rifle, a WASA 10 and it was great. I started to look at cowboy shooting and that lead me to finally get a lever action I always wanted. . . . Next thing I know I am actually putting away a gun fund and thinking about the next purchase. . . .

About this time I discovered Blogs through Law Dog. From there I found JayG’s blog and started to really get sucked into the gun blogger world. Then I went to my first blogger shoot (Thanks JayG!). . . . and spent the day surrounded by these great folks, all armed, and all with all sorts of fun stuff to shoot. This got me really interested in the carry movement. I already had a carry permit but didn’t carry.

Well, I have to say that getting into the gunny movement has done a lot to make me a better person, at least I think so. As I got more and more into being a gun nut I realized how gun rights fit into all of our rights. It changed my view on a number of things like gay rights for example. I slowly shifted to seeing any limitation on gay rights as a limitation on rights period. I became more and more wrapped up in looking at what the Constitution actually said vs what the government was doing. And I became more of an independent Libertarian than anything else. . . .

In the end I became a gun nut, I now carry often, have purchased a number of guns myself, taught my kids to shoot and still keep thinking of what I want to get next. . . . I have also found I am much more interested in politics and where my town, state and country are going. I have found that being a gun nut pushes most people into being a patriot nut too and that is a good thing.

Every gun nut I have met has been a great person to know, friendly , eager to share their knowledge and let you try their guns. They are quick witted and smart, love their country, and are eager to help make it a better place if they can . . . almost the exact opposite of what the left portrays them as. . . funny how wrong the left is about these things.

My name is JD and I am a gun nut. . . .

How are we screwed, let me count the ways. . .

Old NFO has a great bit of news for all you Obama lovers, and a reality check. .  .

Go give it a read HERE

Proof that Obama is either a fool who is in way over his head, or well on track to trashing our country. . . you tell me. . . .

TSA and Special Needs Kid

THIS makes me sick, almost physically sick. . . .

As a parent with kids, one of which is mildly special needs I don't even know where to start.  The TSA needs to be taken apart and tossed out.  It doesn't work.  IT IS BROKEN FOLKS and not keeping anyone safe.

They made a dad toss out a special needs persons toy. . . one he has had for 20 years or so. . .

I don't know about you but it would all but kill me to have to toss out my kids favorite toy so I could get on the airplane with him or her.  Honestly I don't think I could do it.

I feel for this dad and his kid.  I am sure it still bugs him and always will that he had to do this in front of his kid because the Thugs said so.

Folks, we have gone way too far down the rabbit hole.  We have folks playing TSA agent that have no compassion for people, and seem to be more on a power trip than looking at what is really going on in front of them.

So the PLASTIC TOY HAMMER was hard??? that makes it a weapon??? ok, so anything that can be used as a weapon can't come on the plane. . . so no shoes, no belts, no books, no briefcases, no one with any Martial arts training, no canes, no crouches. . . sorry, you all can't fly any more because the sheep say so. . .

I am so sick of this abuse I just don't know what to say any more. . .

Zero Tolerance Policy

After years of this Bull, the liberals in the school systems are finally admitting that "Zero Tolerance" policy's may not work. . .

You hear that?  The main stream media is reporting they may not work. . . . .

WOW

We may actually be winning finally.  After all of this I wonder why the admission?  Did enough of their kids get caught up in this BS that they finally felt the pain?  Or have things finally gotten to the point where they can't hid the numbers any more showing the failure. .  .

This is a good thing - common sense is slowly returning to our schools.  Zero Tolerance is the refuge of the fool.  Only those who can't see beyond black and white would agree with it's use.

Think they are a good thing?  Then how do you explain the use of these results:
kids suspended from school for drawing army men
kids suspended from school for bring a GI Joe to school (he has a plastic gun, so violates gun policy)
kids suspended from school for allergy meds given to him by parent

I could go on buy you get the point.

All Zero Tolerance has gotten us is good kids with bad school records, trouble getting into college or private high school, and lots of drop outs who can see they are getting screwed.

The left is slowly loosing folks, this may be the single great act of Obama . . . revealing the left for the failure it is to the whole country. . . . .

Now if we could get them to go back to teaching the important stuff like when we were kids instead of "new" math we would really get someplace. . .

Obama Vs. The Economy

No shit this was the headline on CNN at lunch. . ..

and all I could think was " Crap, now he has declared war on the economy?  Hasn't he done enough damage to it already???"

That is just what we need, Obama vs. the economy to help continue our push into a double dip recession. . . Thanks. . .

So how is the hope and change working for you lefties anyway??  You hoping you still have a job or working on the changes brought by unemployment???

Pirate of the Caribbean

Went to see the new Pirate of the Caribbean yesterday . .  .

Have to say it is long at almost 2.5 hours but worth the trip!

Was a great story and once again Captain Jack is at his best!  That has got to be one of the all time great characters in film.   I just love watching the crap he gets into and how he manages to almost bumble his way out of it.

Not as many good sword fights or ship battles as before but still a great flick.  And once again you need to stay to watch the quick bit after the credits. . .  won't tell you what it is but they do again leave things open for another film.

They did stretch history a bit with Black Beard going to England if I followed that right, and all that stuff but what do you want, it is Hollywood after all.

Most of the favorite characters are gone, you have Jack and his first mate and Barbosa. . . everyone else is new.

Go see it, a great way to spend a few hours with the family.

Weekend Work

How to make a weekend go by quickly. . . . work. . .

Spent all of yesterday and most of today working around the house.  Managed to get the screen house up and finished off. . . looks good and great for blogging from. . .

Then off to clear brush at the end of the driveway so I can actually you know like see cars coming when I am trying to pull out of the drive. . . always a plus.

Then off to doing more yard work in the back yard. . .

All in all got a lot done this weekend. . . .

Machine Gun Shoot

Spent the morning helping a friend run a machine gun shoot for a few folks.  After they were done we had some fun ourselves with the guns. . .

First one I tried was the historic Bren gun

This is the classic British gun from WWII.  I have to say this was probably my favorite.  It is slow but accurate and heavy enough that it has little to no kick.  The odd bit is the mag goes on the top as you see here:

So you can't sight down the barrel.  The sites are actually on the left side of the gun. .  .  . Anyway, lots of fun to shoot and with the .303 rounds it packs a punch.

Next up was the classic WWII Sten that the Brits gave their airborn troops.

Now this one takes the mag in the side, fires from open bolt, and fires the standard 9mm round.  It doesn't look like much being as they are made out of stamped parts and not finished, but fun to shoot.  It has enough weight to it that it is easy to keep on target and control.  For it's looks it shoots far better than it should.

I finished off my day with the AK-47.  I had to try it as I have a semi version so really wanted to try the full auto. . ..

Fun to shoot, but it walks a bit, and is not the most accurate thing I have ever shot. . . . To tell the truth, I have no idea how anyone can fire this thing on full auto and actually hit what they are aiming at. . .  or even get close to it. . .  seems like the safest spot was at the point of aim in full auto. . . .

Anyway, had a great day, and then helped with the cleaning of all of them.  Maybe I am just too much of a geek engineer but pulling apart the Bren and Sten to see how they work was almost as much fun as shooting them to me.  I am still amazed when I can get my hands on a piece of history like a Bren and hold it, shoot it, and think about everything that gun may have been through from WWII to now. . .  Really amazing when you think about it.

Looking forward to the next shoot whenever that happens!

Dry Fire - is good. . .

Finally got down to the range for a bit of trigger time this weekend.

Now I have been working on fixing my pistol skills. . .  I have a bad habit of shooting low and left with a pistol. . . .

How do you fix that?  Well for me it has been dry fire practice.  I have a laser bore site I put in the gun, then aim at a safe backstop and start my trigger practice.  At first it was very depressing as I could see the laser bounce all over as I fired.  But this is good, if you don't know what you are doing wrong, how do you fix it right??

So after a few weeks of dry fire practice when I could I finally got to the range yesterday before the rain.  Got a lot of 1911 practice, and some M&P and I have to say things looked better.  I still have a lot of work to do, but at lease things are moving in the right direction.  I also notice that I push the barrel down when I tried a few shots. . .  more to work on. . .

So, back to the dry fire practice until the next trip.  And the best part?  I can improve my skills without spending a dime on ammo or having to clean the guns again.  = )

MA gun laws take another step away from America . . .

Massachusetts: Lowell proposes "arsenal" law

Lavallee, Middlesex District Attorney Gerard Leone and Rep. Kevin Murphy helped city officials craft a home rule petition seeking the power to require owners of 10 or more firearms to notify police of the weapons' location within 24 hours of possessing them. The proposed law would also require owners of more than 10 firearms to secure them in a locked safe or vault and install an alarm system with central monitoring that would notify police when the alarm is activated.

Just in case any of you thought MA was even close to still being part of America or a state with any liberty.  I hope this gets tossed but here you never know.

Ya, I am sure all the gangs in Lowell will be the first down to the cops to tell them about all there illegal guns. . . NOT. . . .

GOD I can't wait till I can get out of this nuthouse. . . .

Al Qaeda wants to kill you (still)

So the poor fools in Al Qaeda are now making lots of noise and gnashing of teeth over the end of Osama.

They claim they will now attack the USA and turn our cheers to tears over the blood they will spill.

Ya, right.  If you could do that you would have hit us by now.

No.  I don't see how they could pull off another big attack so what does that leave them with?  The easy stuff.  I think all they can do now is the small stuff, but that still sucks if you get caught in it.  I think they will now go for our schools, our malls, anywhere folks gather that they think they can attack without defenders being around.

The Second Amendment use to protect us - it saved us in WWII -

"You cannot invade the mainland United States.

There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass."

- Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto

But the liberal left who hate our way of life have now put us in danger with their unconstitutional limits on our rights.  They have done their best to take away from us one of the greatest safeguards our forefathers put into our Constitution.

Al Qaeda will now try to bring the fight to us. . . we must be ready for them.  Keep your eyes open and carry your gun.  We don't know when or if they can hit us again, but to not be ready for it would be a crime of the worst kind.  We must stand ready to protect ourselves and our families and put an end to Al Qaeda.

Cats of War

Now that is just funny:

Confirmed - Osama still dead

Al Qaeda has confirmed we got him. . . How nice of them to help out.  Now they will see how they can use this to up recruitment . . . we will see....

Obama's news team

Gotta love the news media.

Unemployment is up. . . You would think they would be all over this – Hell, they would be if Bush were still in there.

But no, since it is Obama they said that Unemployment is up, but not as much as was expected so it is good news. . . .

Sometimes I really wonder what world they live in. . .

Osama is Dead!

Lets hope they really got him, I hope they publish the proof far and wide so the nuts will see we got him.

After that I hope they wrap him in pig guts and bury him in an unmarked hole someplace and let him rot!

Way to go troops!  Thank you to all who have served and risked and gave all to make this day happen.  This is a great blow to the radicals!

Obama was Born

OK, can we move on now??

I wish as much as anyone he was not a Citizen and we could remove him from office, but it is not to be. . . . It never was folks.  No one has ever said that his Mother was not a US Citizen, so he is a citizen.  DONE LETS MOVE ON!

What I don't get is why he finally released this info. . .  It looked like it would have been in his best interest to stay quiet and let the right go nuts over it.  The more noise folks made about it the more they looked like nuts, and the more independent voters they lost to the cause. . .  .  all good for Obama

So why release the Birth Certificate now?? What does he gain by doing it??  Was someone digging up stuff he didn't want found and he thought this would end it?

Who knows, but I think we still need to dig into all the other records he had sealed.  He is hiding something folks, if he has nothing to hide then why not let us all see the records right?  Isn't that what the left says every time they invade your life?  You got no worries if you didn't do anything wrong so you have nothing to hide right???

So what is he trying to hide??????

Gas Prices go UP

Isn't this interesting. .  . Now gas prices are back up where we were told that Bush McHitler pushed them to help his oil pals. . . . except Bush ain't in charge any more. . . So Obama must be in on it right??

Oh no.  The chosen one would never do that.  You see now the news folks are parroting his explanation that there are complex factors that are doing this and he is working to lower them.  These would be the same forces that were at work last time, but then it was Bushes fault. . . . The Media said so. . . .

I love how they change sides so quickly. . ..

I also love how this has nothing to do with the fact that they have devalued the dollar so badly that everything including gas is costing more.  And they have the balls to say there is no or little inflation.

It will be interesting to see where the Media go with this story as they try to save their chosen fool in the White House.  Obama has no clue what is going on (what else is new?) and or how to fix it.  He continues to try to tax and spend his way out of this hole, just digging us all in deeper.

But the Media is key.  They can see that this may sink his second term if they can't find a way to blame someone else.  I am sure there spin machines will be working overtime on trying to deflect this from the chosen one.  Going to be a fun ride to 2012. . . .

Hunting Classes

I have a shooting friend that keeps trying to get me into hunting. I am more of a target shooter and self defense but I can understand hunting. My brothers in law also hunt - well, use to anyway.

Almost went once until I found out they were heading out at 3AM. . . on the weekend. . . . Bit early for me.

Another drawback is in MA you need to take a class on Hunting Safety to get your permit, and at the time I had no idea where to take the class, or the money for it.

Looks like hunting has hit the Internet age. I know folks are trying to get new people into the shooting sports including hunting. And now you can even get class info and online classes for it. . . . Check it out at:
www.huntercourse.com

This is really cool. I think it is great to see them roll out online classes. If they had these back when my in laws were trying to talk me into it I may have tried it out.

Anyway I am all for any way to get more folks into any of the shooting sports and this looks like a great way to get the attention of the younger crowed.

Remember, the more folks we get into shooting - no matter which shooting sport, the safer our rights are.  So, if you need info or a class, give the link a click and good hunting!

150 Years Ago Today

It all started when Fort Sumpter was attacked. . . .

Just about four years later the country was one again. . . and aproximatly 625,000 Americans were dead. . .

It is just amazing to me how much has changed when you look back at it.  They were using muskets, railroads and just started with the telegraph.  No cars yet, you still had to ride a horse.

What is even more amazing is how much we have forgotten about our past, how far our country has slipped from it's roots and what was fought for. . . we may well be on our way to our next civil war as the welfare state goes up against the worker paying taxes. . . I only hope it is fought at the balot box and goes no further down that road. . . . .

How Tree Huggers are killing MA. . .

Back in 1996 they passed a law here in MA that got rid of all trapping in the state. . . . The tree huggers rejoiced at the win. . .

The state lost. Beavers and other animals that we use to hunt and trap here to keep them in check now ran wild and overpopulated. Damns caused streams to back up and flood land and basements.

And the Tree Huggers rejoiced. . .

Now we are starting to see a small bit of sanity return. .  .

Thanks to hunters and gun owners we are trying to get control of these animals again so they won't overpopulate and destroy land and homes.

You can read more about the bill on the GOAL site here

Lets hope this passes

Background check for Ammo?

I just got asked by a friend who owns a gun shop if I had heard anything on Obama looking to push for a background check just to buy ammo. .  . I had not.

So, have you?  Is this a new push for gun control by Obama to go with the new election kick off?

Has anyone heard of this?

Dry Fire

I finally got around to doing some of that dry fire practice I should have been doing for a while now.

One of the best ideas I have gotten (thanks Jay G) was to get a laser and use that to help out.  So I got a laser bore sight and I mount that in my double action Makarov and off I go. . . .

Been doing it for about two weeks now.  I practice a few times a week and I can already see the pay off with the laser not jumping around as much.

This has really worked out well for me.  I can change my grip a bit and see right away how it effects my shot.  I quickly could see how much the laser was jumping because my grip was too loose.  Where it use to jump 2 inches or so to the right when I fired I am now down to a half inch or so.

My normal practice is to shoot 5, 10  or at the most 20 shots, then take a break so I don't tire my hand and finger too quickly.  After a break I do another set of shots.  This has worked well so far.  Now I need to get to the range and see how this translates to paper. . .  ..

A side effect of this is I am also finding I can watch the front sight and still see the laser better and better as I practice.

I have become a convert!  more dry fire time needed!

Happy 1911 Day

I just recently joined the 1911 owners club, and must say I am glad I did.  One of the best shooting guns I have had the joy of firing. . . .

Thank you John Moses Browning for making such an excellent gun.

Road Trip

I just got back from a quick overnight in TN.  It was a successful business trip but opened my eyes a bit to.  Now I normally carry a gun when I am home, I always have at least a knife on me.  For this trip, due to the short time and need to do quick transfers I didn't take anything I couldn't carry on the plane.

Than means I spend almost two days in Memphis with nothing on me for weapons.  I didn't think this was an issues at the time but it felt weird when I was there.  I felt like something was missing, I was missing something. . .

It is strange how we become so accustom to having tools on us that we don't notice when we have them, but we sure do notice when we don't. . . .

Libya spirals out of control

So we lost an F15 today in Libya.  One pilot recovered, one still missing but they say they are getting him.

Watch as this train goes WAY off the tracks folks.  I can see this is just the beginning.  The rebels can't do crap, they don't have weapons and don't know how to use the few they have.

THIS will be our next Vietnam.  Just watch as Obama starts with supplying weapons, then troops to train them, then special ops, then ground forces as he looses more and more control of this and grasps tighter and tighter to try to regain it.  I think this will end him.

The down side is many of our best in the armed forces will be hurt or killed while he plays Bush III and tries to show us he is Presidential. . . .

Hey Left, you still happy you won?  I don't see the hope and change. . . .

Libya, Obama and the Double Standard again. . .

So Obama has gone and declared war on Libya, attacking the country when it is not a clear and present danger to the US. . ..

Can someone tell my how he can justify this attack??  Other than he is doing what the UN tells him like a good little drone.

I can't get over how if this had been done by Bush the left would be screaming bloody murder and all up in arms.  But since it is the left's god there is nothing, not a peep about this.  I am sure they will praise him for taking a stand and doing the right thing. . . . .

And to top it all off I want to know who is going to pay for all the missiles we just used. . . . The UN?  Why are we going to foot the bill for another war that no one here wanted to be part of???

Japan Reactors

Watching the news I can't help but fear for them, and pray they can pull this off.

I look at how Three Mile Island crippled the nuclear industry and power in the USA and I expect this will be a major blow to nuke power in Japan.

In today's energy hungry world this is not good.  We need to find a way to make nuke power not only work but be safe.  A few years ago I heard about pellet reactors that are not supposed to be able to melt down. . . . Where are they?  We need to look into this so we can move the world away from our dependence on oil.  Let the middle east go back to fighting over sand.

So I keep my fingers crossed that Japan can pull this one out, it is critical not only for them, but for all of us. . .

Obama Misery Index hits a record high

Obama Misery Index hits a record high

Well worth the read. . . Lets hope he is a one term failure. . .

MA pissing away money

You know the best part of living in Massachusetts is that we have eliminated all of our budget woes and are in great shape financially. How else can you explain these two bills trying to get passed on Beacon Hill:

MA State Senator Andrew Petruccelli and his bill to make GPS in guns mandatory

From The Truth about Guns- the bills wording-

The Global Positioning System Locators in Firearms Study Commission shall consist of 7 members; the House of Representatives Chair on Public Safety and Homeland Security, the Senate Chair on Public Safety and Homeland Security, one member of the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, appointed by the Secretary of the Executive Office and Public Safety and Security, one designee from the Gun Owners’ Action League (“GOAL”), one Chief of Police from a city or town, appointed by the Governor, one designee from the City of Boston Mayor’s Office, appointed by the Mayor of Boston, one designee appointed by the Boston City Council.

The commission shall report to the general court the results of its investigation and study, together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry such recommendations into effect by filing the same with the clerk of the senate before the bill filing deadline for the 2013-2014 general court session.

And then we have the second winner - Micro stamping: (from No Lawyers, only guns and money)

Rep. David Paul Linsky (D-Middlesex) has introduced House Bill 1561 in the Massachusetts State House. The bill would mandate all semi-automatic rifles, shotguns, and pistols sold or manufactured in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts be capable of imprinting a "microstamp" on the face of a cartridge effective January 1, 2012.

So it would seem that all of our big problems have been fixed and we have time and money to waste on this foolishness.

All our roads are fixed, homeless housed, welfare folks cared for, jobs for all, our schools, fire and police have all they need. . . ..

Folks this is money wasted and that is all. The people of this state should be screaming at the top of their lungs at these fools for even bringing this BS up.

Micro stamps – supposed to imprint info about the gun on the bullet case when fired. Sounds good right? Ya, costs a fortune, has not be shown to work yet, and can be removed by the bad guy with 5 minuets and a file. . . .

GPS so you know where every gun is when a crime is committed sound good right? Who will pay for all the tracking software, people to run it and the HUGE storage needs for the data? And what do you do about all the guns already out there that don’t have it? And how do you keep the bad guys from just pulling the battery out?  I don't even think there is a GPS out there small enough to fit in a gun and handle the shock of use. . . .

We need a wake up call in this state. We have far more important things going on like our roads falling apart, our healthcare system bankrupting us, homeless folks, food banks running out of funds and food. . . I could go on but you get the point. This is BS.

Gun control, what you do instead of FIXING SOMETHING!

Time to write your rep again. . .

OK folks here we go again:
From the NRA

Last week, H.R. 822, was introduced in the U.S. House by Representatives Cliff Stearns (R-Fla.) and Heath Shuler (D-N.C.).  The measure would allow any person with a valid state-issued concealed carry permit to carry a concealed firearm in any state that issues concealed firearm permits, or that does not prohibit the carrying of concealed firearms. A state's laws governing where concealed firearms may be carried would apply within its borders. The bill also applies to Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and U.S. territories.

H.R. 822 would not create a federal licensing system.  Rather, it would require the states to recognize each others' carry permits, just as they recognize drivers' licenses and carry permits held by armored car guards.

OK, so you will write your rep and ask them to support this right?

Social Security, how the Democrats Changed it. . .

 Very intersting read. . . .

Democrats are awfully sure of what isn't so.

Just in case some of you young whippersnappers (& some older ones) didn't know this.  It's easy to check out, if you don't believe it. Be sure and show it to your kids.  They need a little history lesson on what's what and it doesn't matter whether you are Democrat or Republican.  Facts are Facts!!!

Social Security Cards up until the 1980s expressly stated the number and card were not to be used for identification purposes.  Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it anyway and the message was removed.

An old Social Security card with the "NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION" message.

Our Social Security:

Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social
Security (FICA) Program. He promised:

1.) That participation in the Program would be
Completely voluntary,

No longer Voluntary

2.) That the participants would only have to pay
1% of the first $1,400 of their annual
Incomes into the Program,

Now 7.65%
on the first $90,000

3.) That the money the participants elected to put
into the Program would be deductible from
their income for tax purposes each year,

No longer tax deductible

4.) That the money the participants put into the
independent 'Trust Fund' rather than into the
general operating fund, and therefore, would
only be used to fund the Social Security
Retirement Program
, and no other
Government program, and,

Under Johnson the money was moved to

The General Fund and Spent

5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income.

Under Clinton & Gore
Up to 85% of your Social Security can be Taxed

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are
now receiving a Social Security check every month --
and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of
the money we paid to the Federal government to 'put
away' -- you may be interested in the following.

------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- ----

Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the
independent 'Trust Fund' and put it into the
general fund so that Congress could spend it?

A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically
controlled House and Senate.

------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- ------

Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax
deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?

A: The Democratic Party.

------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- ------

Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social
Security
annuities?

A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the 'tie-breaking' deciding vote as President of the
Senate
, while he was Vice President of the US

------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- ------

Q: Which Political Party decided to start
giving annuity payments to immigrants?

AND MY FAVORITE:

A: That's right!

Jimmy Carter
and the Democratic Party.
Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!

------------ -- ------------ --------- ----- ------------ ---------

Then, after violating the original contract (FICA),
the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!

The worst part about it is uninformed citizens believe it and believe that the Democrats are "for the people."

If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of
awareness will be planted and maybe changes will
evolve. Maybe not, some Democrats are awfully
sure of what isn't so.

But it's worth a try. How many people can YOU send this to?

Actions speak louder than bumper stickers.

CONGRESS GIVES THEMSELVES 100% RETIREMENT FOR ONLY SERVING ONE TERM

DOMA – or how Obama got Re-Elected

Someone please tell my what the heck is wrong with the Republicans. . . They were doing well up until Obama said no more Defense of Marriage Act support.  Now it is like they have ADD or something – Oh look, a squirrel!

Sorry. . .

Obama tossed them a distraction and they are falling for it.  Instead of staying on him about the budget, Obamacare and all the excess spending in DC he has them chasing this DOMA BS.  It plays right into his hands.  I doubt many voters  care enough about this for it to be a key issue, yet the Stupid parts is all over it like it is the end of the world.

Someone needs to give them a wake up call – FOOLS!  CUT  THIS SHIT OUT AND GET BACK TO WORK!!!

We want our country back, we want jobs, and the economy fixed, we don't care about Marry and Jill or Fred and Joe getting together.  GET OVER IT AND MOVE ON!

You would think they don't want to win in 2012 the way they keep this up. . .

We are Winning!

One state at a time we are slowly winning back our rights. . .

From the NRA via Say Uncle's Blog:

Wyoming becomes fourth state to respect Right-to-Carry without permit

Wyoming on Wednesday became the fourth state to allow citizens to carry concealed guns without a permit, with Gov. Matt Mead signing a bill into law as several other states considered similar action.

NRA Vote

From JayG -

A personal favor: For the 2011 NRA Board of Directors, please vote for James (Jim) Wallace for the board. Jim is the Executive Director of GOAL, the MA-based pro-2A group that has helped keep the wolves at bay for quite a few years. If there's anyone who has seen the elephant with regards to crappy gun laws and stemming the tide, it's Jim Wallace. I cannot imagine anyone working harder to protect our gun rights than Jim.

Gotta say I agree with Jay, here in MA they have tried to stick it to us every way they can. . . And it wouldn't hurt to get a little more NRA attention to help the fight too. . .

Going Back in Time. . .

You know it is funny how much a smell can trigger a memory.
Case in point – We are getting some repairs done around the labs at work.  As you enter the lab area you can smell the pain thinner they are using for whatever. . .
The first thing that comes to mind when I go in there is my Dad's old workshop at the house.  Now my dad has not been with us for five years now, and it has been even longer since he was able to work in that shop of his.  But I can still remember the smell. . . . Brings me right back to it, and seeing dad working in there on his latest projects.
It would probably bother some folks, but I love it.  It brings back lots of good memories. . . .
Still miss ya Dad. . . .

Rain Today

Looks like it is raining nice and hard out there today.  I hope it is enough to wash away the 3 inches or so of snow we got yesterday and that I was too lazy to clean off the driveway. . . .

We will see. . .

Liberal Hate Speech

You have got to love this quote

"I'm proud to be here with people who understand that it's more than just sending an email to get you going. Every once and awhile you need to get out on the streets and get a little bloody when necessary," Rep. Mike Capuano (D-Ma.) told a crowd in Boston on Tuesday rallying in solidarity for Wisconsin union members.

And that is from one of my peace loving Liberal commy friends here in MA that we just put back in office.

Isn't this great?  See if someone on the right had said this then it would be bad and inciting violence, but since it comes from the loony left this instead is a person standing up and fighting for their rights against the man.

Got that?  Right talk bad, Left talk good.

And if you said the news won't cover it or even bring this up after all their complaining about the right and their speech you would be 100% correct.

Any further doubt who the media works for???

Wisconson Union Fight

Even CNN is wondering if this is the end of Unions. . . .

Lets hope so. . .

Unions have gone way past their time.  Now they are nothing more than thieves and thugs, especially when they are Government Unions and you have no choice but to support them.  At least with private company unions I can (and do) choose not to support them by not buying their product if I can.  Heck, it will be a long time before I buy another American made car now that the unions own them too. . . .

I hope the Governor win in Wisconsin, and I hope it spreads to the rest of our country!

Obama messing with States in Wisconsin Teacher fight

Obama shows his true colors in Wisconsin. . . More HERE on CNN.

Seems Obamas handlers in the Union ranks have called for his help.  They don't want to lose power by having the Governor win this one and balance the budge of the state.  They fear that if they lose this one it will spread, and more and more government unions will lose their cushy perks and have to work for a living like those of us in the private sector.

So Obama is sending in his troops to stir up more crowds and more trouble.  And the News Media will push how the Republicans are the ones who fight Bipartisanship. . . Yet here goes Obama stirring up trouble and making a bipartisan more imposable.

So once again, the Democrats stir up the trouble, then blame the Republicans for not working with them.  The same Democrats that have run to flee the state instead of standing up to do the job they were elected to because they fear losing the vote.  They disgust me.  They are so blatant in ignoring their job, and their oath to do the will of the Unions.

Sorry folks, the day of the Union has passed.  It is time we moved passed them and took back control of our country.  I hope Wisconsin is successful in showing that you can get the budget under control again when you get the unions spending under control.  They take too much of our money, and get far more than anyone in the private sector.  They have forgotten who they are supposed to serve, just like the politicians who work for them.

Teacher Union thugs

Looks like things are heating up in Wisconsin. .  More HERE

What we are seeing in the unions don't want to give up all the free govenment money they get.  This is a teachers union who dose not want to pay 12% for their healthcare and kick in to their retierment fund. . .  Welcome to the real F'n world folks.  The Republcians in the state are trying to balance the budget, the Democrates have left the state so no votes can be taken. .  . Dems running to stick their heads in the sand instead of dealing with issues. . .  who would have thought. . . .

So with the threat that the govenment might make them pay a fraction of what the privat sector does they have moved on to direct intimication of our elected officials.  They have sent threats and are showing up at their houses to threaten them.  Remember these are teachers. . .  Do you want your kids around these folks?  How long before they start to use the kids in this fight???

They are nothing more than thugs, and I expect to see more of this as we have to make the cuts to government spending that are required.

This is an example of the Democrat machine in process.  They don't care about the law, they don't care about elections, they want power and any that stand against them will be attacked.  With words for now but it will get physical before this is done, bet on it. . . .

And what does Obama do?? He has not helped, he has voiced his support for the thugs.  Don't expect the Feds to look into this, they see nothing and hear nothing I am sure.

We are slipping farther and farther down the rat hole. . .  I don't think we will like where this ends.

ATF Gun Walker case

So where the heck is this going???  We have only one Congressman looking into it, and the news folks who love to scream about American guns in Mexico are ignoring it.

Thank God that Senator Charles Grassley is the one.  He is going after the Attorney General on why this is not being pursued.

Of course we know that answer already don't we. . .. If they can show that the ATF is running guns in to Mexico it is hard to blame US gun shows or shops for it isn't it. . . .

Mexico is a failed state on our border, our very open border.  And Obama and friends are arming our enemies to forward their own agenda to limit our rights.

This should be Obamas Watergate. . . Too bad we don't have real journalists any more to follow up on it. . .

Travelers Insurance is Anti Gun

and therefor anti-civil rights. . . .

From Say Uncle and JayG:

Unc warns us that Traveler's Insurance is anti-gun.

I would also like this brought to the attention to as many people as possible, so that they may make an informed decision when choosing an insurance company for all of their insurance needs.

That is all I need to know.  I don't have there insurance now, and I won't in the future, that is for sure. . . .
