It is now a teenager

As of midnight last night it became official. . . . I am old. . . .

And my first born is now a teenager. . . . . yep, she is 13. . . . .

Dating and boyfriends can't be far off now. . . . .

I think I may need to keep a gun ready for cleaning at any moment . . . . . That can be the first boyfriend test. If the AK in parts on the table don't send him running then he may be ok. . . .

= )

On the bright side it is a nice change to have some happy news for a change. We will be going out to a family dinner with Grandma, Nana and the rest of the family. It will be good to have a change of scenery around here.

We also went down to the range with my nephew and brother in law today to burn through some brass. That was fun and it looks like the new front sight on the Enfield is set pretty well so that went well. I may have to shift it a touch to the right but considering I set it without shooting I am rather happy I got it that close on the first try. . . .

Comment from Ted that I could not get to post:

Offered without comment, other than that it's better when you hear it. No Youtube yet, tho.

JD, don't pull it out - buzz it. I hear all the cool kids are doing it!

Well all i can say is that as an avid shooter with many guns, in my area at least, dragging out a knockoff claymore sword and asking if the lad thinks its sharp enough while staring at the belt buckle ( mine will just about shave hair due to boredom with a file in hand one day lol ) works better , at least out here where all the " cool kids " shoot and hunt, and many of them have a ranch background working cattle and cutting calves .

Well, that may be in a free state but here behind the lines not many know anything about guns. I have had another dad tell me other parents won't let there kids play with his because of the NRA sticker on the truck. . . .

MA is a mess, although I am sure one of my Katanas would work too. . ..
