Here is a rather scary example of why you need to be able to not only call 911 but be able to take care of yourself until help gets there.
This poor woman was tied up and threatened with death for 30 minutes before the cops got there due to Murphy's Law. 911 is great but it is even better to have a back up plan folks. . . . . .
Remember this story next time someone tells you that you don't need a gun or weapon or whatever to defend yourself because you can call the cops. . . . No system is perfect so don't bet your life on it. . ..
