Every other country in the world can toss out their illegals, why can't we? It would be easy. Make it so painful to get caught hiring them that no one will give them work. No work they will find a way home. No cost to us. DONE

Well Anonymous, I can dream. We have to get rid of them somehow. And when the 14th was written I doubt you had illegals here in any real numbers.
Illegals need to have every reason to stay here taken away NOW. No more sneaking in to have kids. Or the kids get to stay and be adopted by Americans as soon as they are born, you get sent home. . . how is that for a fix Anonymous. . . didn't think you would like it.
Time to close the borders
I actually am a bleeding heart liberal and even I think this is all crap. I don't see how the US is to blame for breaking up the family, these kids should be pointing the finger at their parents. Our 14th amendment was in a time when people were fleeing here and really traveling rough - deportation across a border wasn't the issue then. I think it's fine to give them a change to become citizens (pass a test in English, pay our taxes, choose our country!!) but I just don't agree with giving free citizenship and American-born benefits out - I also don't agree with breaking up a family: I think if don't have a legal-citizen parent then the whole family goes. And I'm not sure I want to hear any more crying about it, I'm sick of paying for free rides for border-crosser - it's not the same thing as all as for people that are really trying for a better life and to be a part of this country.
I'm tired of all the rediculuous comments about how we try to blame our economic problems on these illegal immigrants. And to say that they are "pushing the sympathy card" is absurd. Why would any illegal immigrant push any kind of card other than trying to stay quite, out of sight and out of mind so that they won't get deported? This story was posted on CNN's website which undoubtedly leans more left than anything else.
I really wish that the illegal immigrants would please wait to have children. When you have children here illegally, you are being irresponsible. I am not tryig to be mean or racially insensitive, but you all came here on your own. African Americans are the only people here that were forced here to work for FREE and then stripped away from their land, family, language, culture, and religion unwillingly and has survived with a smaller population (i.e. minorities; which is now smaller than the Hispanic/ Latino population) and no RIGHTS. You all need not put your kids through the unnecessary drama!
Yes they push the sympanthy card. What else do you call it when they parade the crying kids in front of the news cameras and bitch about being sent home? The kids whining about being American and not able to speak spanish or whatever where their folks are being sent back to.
Sorry, that is a play for emotional response, not logic. There is no room for that in the courts. Our laws are the law, we don't need to mix in emotion and start letting them stay because of the kids. You are here illegally, you all should get sent home. Maybe that would give them something to think about before they have kids here or even come here.
I have been watching this crap for 30 years, and have experienced life with the incoming hoard of hispanics. This liberal democrat is so sick of it. Dear hispanics, I'm not impressed anymore. I don;t care how nice or evil you may be. I am sick of hearing stories of minimum wage workers having 5 kids, I'm sick of seeing it in the local malls and everywhere else I go. Someone should come by my local 7-11 on Friday at about 10pm and watch the obnoxious hispanics do what they do. Of course there are exceptions, but there are just too mas, that is, too many. Enough already, how much must our culture get dumped on not to mention the employment market. The anchor baby concept must end, the melting pot concept must end, these paradigms don't work any more. I have been sympathetic too long as has most of Americans have been forced to be. I don't really care any more if you call me a racist, because you have no clue on my perspective on life here and my experiences. I am actually a generous, kind hearted individual and have strong friendships with all races, but I will tell my mexican friends that I have seen enough of your bullshit. Every 16 years, there's a whole new generation of obnoxious hispanic citizens crowding you, staring you down, subwoofin your neighborhood, being dicks at you local athletic club, driving like shit, jacking up the employment market, not to mention the gang bullshit, the irresponsible baby having, and the list goes on and on, I'm getting pissed writing this shit. Simply stated, take it from this 43 year old who had watched this transformation, the Hispanic thing is not good for us and our culture. Young liberals will go through the process of acceptance and feel good about themselves because they see themselves as progressive and culturally complex. They may even learn Spanish in college like I did because they think it is cool to explore this culture. But, over time, they will say fuck this, enough is enough. What happened to my neighborhood, my culture, my peace of mind, my job, my dad's job, my pay, my parent's pay.
Has anyone seen the article on CNN this morning "Illegal Immigrants Detained, Then Freed To Work"? The Mexican guy who got caught in February, along with 27 others, working and living illegally in Bellingam, Washington, had 5!!! kids...all of them American citizens, of course. Not 1, not 2... 5 kids! How dare they??! Who paid for their birth, kindergarten, who's paying for their schooling?? One word: outrageous.
