Bay State Population Growth

They are happy to say MA is gaining population. . . we grew at .5% last year. . . .

What they won't say is that the national average was .9% and that although the northeast is seeing some growth it is on the low side compared to the rest of the country.

The damn liberals are killing this state and this area but because of slight growth they claim the trend is reversing. Before I buy it I want to know what the growth is? Are we gaining educated people coming for jobs and to build a family or are they uneducated illegals drawn here by the social programs and hand outs. . .

Hint - most educated folks I know want out or are stuck here due to the back housing market or other ties. MA sucks, you can't hid the facts with this smoke screen. . . .

Funny how the fastest growing state is a conservative red state. . . .

From CNN -
Only two states lost population: Michigan and Rhode Island, losing 0.5 and 0.2 percent respectively. Overall, Northeastern states are not growing as fast as other parts of the country, but they have been on the increase since 2005.

Utah is the nation's fastest growing state, increasing 2.5 percent from July 2007 to July 2008, according to new population estimates from the Census Bureau.

From the Globe -
But the state's population fell behind Washington and Arizona and it now ranks smaller than 14 other states, which means Massachusetts could lose one of its 10 seats in the US House of Representatives.
