Crossing Guards

Only in Massachusetts. . . On the way in today I noticed that the crossing guard near work has a rather easy job. Seems that what she does is push the button on the traffic light poll by the crosswalk to change the light to red. She then walks out to stop traffic.

Can someone tell me why this town is paying her to do this? The kids can not push the walk button like everyone else and wait for the walk sign? Cars don’t stop for the red light?

I have never seen anyone run this light at other times of the day, why would they do it in the morning? Just because kids are there they are going to run the light????

More government waste . . . glad I don’t live in this town, it would bug me to think my taxes are paying for this
