CNN Does it again HERE
The FBI is planting folks in mosques. And CNN is all over it.
Now folks I am mixed on how I feel about this. On one side I don't like the government spying on anyone that is a US citizen in the US without proper court and constitutional checks on the activity. That having been said if they have a warrant and it passes the Constitutional tests then CNN should shut the hell up about this.
We need to keep secrets from our enemies and the news people are shouting it from the roof tops. We know there are radical Muslims in the country that have been trained overseas in how to hurt us. We would be fools not to watch these folks.
As long as no Constitutional issues come up than all I can say is too bad and you news folks need to keep your mouths shut until a court says something was done wrong or there is other proof of illegal or unconstitutional activity. I know you can't because you love to trash us too much but you should. You can research your story without telling the world until you have that proof you know. . . .
We are at war folks, and loose lips let terrorists get away to fight another day. If it is done by the books, and they are not disrupting the service at the Mosque then I say all the more power to them - I am glad someone is checking for real bad guys around here. Why should they get a pass when I get searched every time I practically look at an air plane. . . .
It is time to profile and do what we need to stay safe. Stop shaking down the Irish 90 year old lady at the airport so you look good - she is not going to take over the plane. . . This is not over with the radicals by a long shot.

Wow what an ignorant rant. First off you seem concerned (rightly) with the 4th amendment but you seem to have a problem with the 1st amendment which guarantees the freedom of the press. CNN isn't letting an cats out of the bag. The Arab and Muslims groups are upset about the FBI spying in mosques, so they already know about it. If legitimate Muslims associations have figured it out so have the bad guys.
Now the FBI is intimidating, threatening and harassing CAIR leaders who are upset about the spying and as such refuse to work with the FBI any longer. This is news and this is illegal.
Now about that little Irish lady at the airport you want left alone. (Your comment implies you want security to shake down the brown people and Muslim people). How do you know she hasn't converted to Islam and joined Al Qaeda? How do you know she isn't a member of the Real IRA who recently killed 3 people in Ireland? Maybe we send the FBI into Irish Catholic churches and not report on it because we don't want to alert our "enemies"
You say "As long as no Constitutional issues come up than all I can say is too bad and you news folks need to keep your mouths shut" and then you proceed to encourage the government to violate 4 of the Bill of Rights and 6 other constitutional amendments.
Hypocrisy much?
so don't shake over a 90 year old irish lady at the airport but it is ok to pick a 12 year old kid from the street of Kabul and send him to the Gitmo?? I am sick of this fear tactics started by previous administration who by the way ran the nation into the ground with one bad decision after the other. If you plant wires in mosques and blackmail innocent citizens, how do you expect cooperation from these communities if there is really something worth reporting to the authorities?
We are at war, correct, but these wars were started with false information (whole another debate on how Bush screwed everyone up). There are radicals in every community. I don't mind getting searched at the airport, actually it makes me feel safe but I don't want them to single out me based on my ethnicity, I want them to search everyone cause that is the right way to secure everyone from bad guys!
Enough of the ridiculous political correctness already. Who cares what the various Muslim groups think. I agree that the FBI agents should be in the Mosques, undercover. It just goes to show that those who a part of that Stone Age belief syste, will have to keep their preachers of hate and terror more in line with a peaceful religion (as difficult as that may be for them), at least out in the open.
I wish the news was true. If so, half the muslim population in the US would have been deported.
Plane and simple, if they can prove to a judge then they get the warrant like the law says. Then they do their job and get into these radicals and find out what they are doing.
No one is telling the mosque what they can do or say. If they promote violence then we get a warrant, prove it and act on it or we disprove it and move on.
And sorry, but profiling work, and shaking us down at the airport does nothing but keep the sheep thinking they are safe. If Osama wants to get another airplane he will find a way through our joke of security.
CNN and the media are too quick to tell everyone what we are doing to protect ourselves. They need to relearn the restraint that the media had back in WWII when they knew which side they were on.
What is the problem with trying to keep the country safe? If there is no unlawful activity at the mosques, there should be no problem.
I can hardly say we should kick them all our or shut them all down. The average Muslim looks for nothing more than I do - be left in peace to raise his or her kids.
It is the radicals that are the issue and they just use religion as a means to an end as so many others have before. We need to identify the RADICAL mosques and take appropriate action to protect ourselves while working within the law and not hassling innocent folks.
This is done with warrants and searches as needed with as little disruption to folks lives as we can have while still being safe.
Spys are good for this. They can ID the trouble makers in the mosque without disruption to the rest of the group. Before you put a spy in there though it should past a judge to prove you have good facts showing there is a problem.
Why is this questioned? if and when they do this to any other hate group like the clan or such no one bats an eyelash. There is no room here for being PC
