This makes me sick! Obama should be impeached over this crap. He shut down the government and put millions of Americans through hell because he didn't want to delay this Abomination of a law.
Now with a failed website, many neutral parties including Consumer Reports saying it won't work, and bunches of folks learning that the price will go up BIG for insurance and the deductible is HUGE! News reports are saying costs are more than insurance costs now for many people . . . Michigan folks will be paying 40% more for the cheapest plan. . . Folks are losing their jobs, healthcare, or having their hours cut because companies can't afford this. Those looking for jobs won't get hired as the job market reacts. . . .
This is a failure folks, we need it stopped NOW!
Obama is playing politics with our futures and that of our kids. This won't do what he said it would, this will do what we warned you about. . . .
And now the excuse from the left is too many people have signed up for us to stop. . . this is total bullshit folks, not many have signed up at all, they can't. Many of those who got on the site did not get insurance, they could not afford it.
When the house is on fire, you don't let it burn because it is already started. . . you fight it and put it out to save as much as you can. . . . .

Danvers MA Teacher Killed by 14 Yr Old
This is both sickening and scary to me. . . .
A 14 year old killed a 24 year old math teacher in
Danvers yesterday. . . no one knows why at this point and they are not telling
us how. Seems she was killed in the school and her body dumped out back in the woods. . . BY A !$ YR OLD!!!!! let that sink in. . . .
I cannot begin to express my sorry and sympathy to the family and loved ones of this young teacher who should be starting a great career making the world a better place. . . and I can't help but wonder what will come out about the home life of the murderer.
Everything I am hearing is this was a much loved young
teacher who was liked by her students and lover her job. We should all be so lucky.
What scares the hell out of me in all of this (beyond the insanity of the
crime itself) is my oldest daughter is currently in school to learn to be a
special needs elementary teacher. . . .
To think that teachers are now having to worry about
students killing them is insane. I know
that the facts say this was two random incidents in a week, not a trend and our
schools are basically as safe as they ever were. . . but my parent side is going nuts over this
crap. An this all happened in our lovely liberal paradise of MASS where our laws are lax, your right to protect yourself is all but gone, and they will find some excuse as to why it is not the kids fault and he will go to Juvi Hall and be on the street when he turns 18. . .
How do we protect our kids and teachers from these sick people? He was already in the school, all the security in the world at the door won't stop this. If we have hit the point we need armed guards on every floor in every room of our schools we have really lost it. This is supposed to be a place of learning, not a prison.
On the bright side of this one (for what it is worth) the kid is alive and in
custody so we can hopefully find out what the hell was going through his messed
up head in all of this. Again someone
snapped and he was the kid no one expected to ever do anything like this. . . .
how do we detect these folks before there is a problem while still respecting
everyone’s rights? That is the question
we MUST answer folks. Our kids depend on
it.

Another Tragic School Shooting
Another school shooting. . .
and it is starting to look like a kid who has been bullied. All the reports are this kid was the last
person anyone would expect to do this. . .
The one up side is that I see the news and the feedback is
finally starting to focus on the kid.
What pushed him to this? What
made him snap. Sure some folks still
blame the gun but it seems to be less and less as the comments get posted.
This is a good start folks.
We need to get past the tool.
Lets face the facts that it does not matter how he killed, the people
are still dead. We need to know WHY he
killed if we want to do anything to stop the next one. And there will be another as much as I hate
to admit it.
We are raising our kids to think they will always win. Everyone gets a medal just for showing
up. They never lose, the score don’t
count. Then we are surprised when
something in their life goes wrong and they don’t know how to handle it or who
to talk to. When all they have experienced
so far in life is a warm fuzzy bubble wrapped world it is a big surprise with
reality hits. And some can’t deal with
the shock.
I often wonder why we never had these problems with I was a
kid. Gun laws were MUCH more relaxed
than now, and kids used them with their parents or other older family member’s. We
played Army or Cowboy and Indians, we
had BB guns and no none got hurt. You
learned to shoot in scouts or at camp and no one thought twice about it. But we also played games and we won sometimes
and we lost sometimes. Our parents did
not jump in to save us from experiencing either event. We learned that you don’t always win, you don’t
always get your way.
We also had bullies and friends at school. We did not have the social media like
Facebook to bring the bully home with us but we still had to deal with kids
that didn‘t like us and kids are very good at being mean to each other. I suppose media makes things a bit harder to
get away from but I don’t think that is the only issue.
Our kids are raised on the internet, not by their parents. Parents want to be their friend, not their
parent. Parents don’t take enough
interest in what is going on or they take too much interest. The kid gets either no support or Mom and Dad
do all the work for them. Not a path for
success folks.
I will be very interested in what they find out about this
kid. I won’t be shocked if the parents
didn’t know about his bullying or other issues that may have pushed him over
the edge. . . and that is the saddest part.

Where did the Ammo Go?
This is a great article on the current ammo shortage, read it all to get a great look at the industry.
It also makes a great argument against the main stream media lies about gun owners and our numbers.
Gun owners are a growing population in this country. . . we are growing because many people are learning that shooting is fun, both men and women are flocking to the shooting arts, as a sport, and for self defense.
So go give it a read, you won't be sorry.

Concealed Carry stops possible Mass Shooting
Here is one that won't make the news. . .
Story is HERE
A man legally carrying at a party shoots a gunman who threatened folks at the party.
Of course the gunman is the only one hurt so the news won't tell you about this one.
like so many other times we never hear about it when a legally carried handgun stops a crime, murder or worse. . . .
GUNS SAVE LIVES folks.
And yes, the cops are investigating but so far the man who shot the gunman has been cleared of any wrongdoing. . . go read the whole thing!

20/20 on gun myths
Go give it a listen HERE
This is a great piece that rips apart most if not all of the BS the gun grabbers tell us.
It shows that guns make you safer, guns save lives, and more guns in an area lowers crime, not what they want you to think is it?
Gun laws do no make you safer.
Fact.

Shrink admits mental health background not a help in mass shootings
Read it HERE
Well written article on how mental health and guns does not really make any difference in stopping a mass shooting.
They explain how this will impose on folks rights for little to no gain in the real world. It is more about looking like they are doing something instead of actually doing anything about this.
Gun control folks refuse to see reality and the basic facts:

Gun control folks refuse to see reality and the basic facts:
- Areas with strict gun control have more crime (see MA crime jump after 1998 law)
- Areas with more guns have less crime
- Gun owners are more law abiding than others
- Gun law reductions have not lead to shootings in the street and the "wild west"
- Owing a gun is your RIGHT as an American. . . and shall not be infringed as our founders say. . .
what do you think?

LaserLyte LT-TT Trigger Tyme Pistol
Now that I have my NRA and state certs to start gun training with people I am looking to build up the tools to be successful with it.
I just got one of the LasterLyte LT-TT Triger Tyme Pistols with the goal of eventually getting the laser insert and target for it. For now it lets me have a blue gun that I can dry fire with and it is not a real gun. I am looking forward to doing some dry fire with it myself. I know I need the practice but have been hesitant to have a real gun out while the kids are up and it is has been hard to find the time I can practice that I feel comfortable with. This will take that fear out of it since it cannot fire a bullet.
For me this gun is a big pro, it will let me do dry fire training on my own and with students without having a real gun in use. It also lets a new shooter try it and see what the trigger pull and such is like without actually shooting a real gun. Having something they can practice with, get use to a sight picture with that does not shoot means I can take one safety issue out of the class. It will also let them practice without the recoil so they can focus on what they need to. Then we can move on to the range and deal with the noise and recoil of a real gun.
The one down side so far is the trigger pull is light by MA standards. We by law need a 10 lbs trigger pull and I am not sure that this can be modified to do that. I have sent an email to LaserLyte to see what they say but it will work as it is.
Now I need to put aside a few bucks and get the laser insert and target to work with it.
UPDATE - They don't have a way to change the trigger pull at this point but they did note the request and are passing it on. I like the quick response I got from them and it supports what I have heard about LaserLyte, they seem like a great company that listens to the customer. I hope they do come out with a way to set the trigger pull but I won't wait on it to buy the laser and targets for use with the trainer gun.

NRA Certified in Pistol
Well I got it! I am now certified as an NRA instructor for Pistol.
It was a weekend of work, a 17 hour course for those interested.
The one I took was broken down into two parts. The first part was covering how the NRA wants instructors to act, kind of a crash course in teaching. The second part was about pistols and how to teach the pistol course.
We went over a LOT of stuff in a very short time then had to take a test on each part.
For me the instructor part was rather dry and did not cover much new stuff for me. I teach classes at work all the time so much of this was a repeat.
The pistol part was a lot more interesting to me. We went over the basic laws, then how to teach pistol use to a beginner. This was a lot of stuff I already knew, but some new stuff to. It was a good review on how to hold the pistol, good pointers on trigger control and follow through helped too.
Once I passed the two tests I had to wait about two weeks for my cert from the NRA to show up in the mail. Now I have to fill out the state form and wait for the MA cert to show up. Once I have that I will be able to teach in MA so folks can get their licence.
Next week I will be assisting in my first class at the club. I don't know how many folks we will have but it will be a first class for me as an instructor of any kind. I am nervous but looking forward to it. I think I will learn a lot working with the more experienced instructors and teaching folks. You would be amazed how much you learn yourself when you teach someone how to do something . . .
So we are off on our new adventure in teaching now. . . more later
