Kagan is no friend to the Constitution
"To be honest with you, I don't have the view of what our natural rights are independent of the Constitution," she says.
"I'm taking about Elena Kagan. What do you believe? Are there inalienable rights?" Coburn presses.
"You should not want me to act, in any way, on the basis of such belief," she says. "My job as a justice... is to enforce the Constitution."
Folks, that is all I need to hear to know that she will not support our Constitution or the right to bear arms. No surprise at all there we are exchanging on liberal nut for another I fear. . . .
We Noticed Mr. Obama
thinking like this. If so we may actually have a chance at saving our
country. . . .
Sherry Hackett, wife of the late Buddy Hackett, is a dyed-in-the-wool
Democrat. I would think that many other Democrats share her
position... This was written by Sherry Hackett, Buddy Hackett's
widow.
"WE NOTICED" President Obama:
Today I read of your administrations' plan to re-define September 11
as a National Service Day. Sir, it's time we had a talk.
During your campaign, Americans watched as you made mockery of our
tradition of standing and crossing your heart when the Pledge of
Allegiance was spoken. You, out of four people on the stage, were the
only one not honoring our tradition.
YES, "We noticed."
During one of your many speeches, Americans heard you say that you
intended to visit all 57 states. We all know that Islam, not America
has 57 states.
YES, "We noticed."
When President Bush leaned over at Ground Zero and gently placed a
flower on the memorial, while you nonchalantly tossed your flower onto
the pile without leaning over.
YES, "We noticed."
Every time you apologized to other countries for America 's position
on an issue we have wondered why you don't share our pride in this
great Country. When you have heard foreign leaders berate our Country
and our beliefs, you have not defended us. In fact, you insulted the
British Crown beyond belief.
YES, "We noticed."
When your pastor of 20 years, "God-damned America " and said that 9/11
was " America 's chickens coming home to roost" and you denied having
heard recriminations of that nature, we wondered how that could be.
You later disassociated yourself from that church and Pastor Wright
because it was politically expedient to do so.
YES, "We noticed."
When you announced that you would transform America, we wondered why.
With all her faults, America is the greatest Country on earth. Sir,
KEEP THIS IN MIND, "if not for America and the people who built her,
you wouldn't be sitting in the White House now." Prior to your
election to the highest office in this Country, you were a senator
from Illinois and from what we can glean from the records available,
not a very remarkable one.
YES, "We noticed."
All through your campaign and even now, you have surrounded yourself
with individuals who are basically unqualified for the positions for
which you appointed them. Worse than that, the majority of them are
people who, like you, bear no special allegiance, respect, or
affection for this Country and her traditions.
YES, "We noticed."
You are 14 months into your term and every morning millions of
Americans wake up to a new horror heaped on us by you. You seek to
saddle working Americans with a health care/insurance reform package
that, along with cap and trade, will bankrupt this Nation.
YES, "We noticed."
We seek, by protesting, to let our representatives know that we are
not in favor of these crippling expenditures and we are labeled
"un-American," "racist," "mob". We wonder how we are supposed to let
you know how frustrated we are. You have attempted to make our
protests seem isolated and insignificant. Until your appointment,
Americans had the right to speak out.
YES, "We noticed."
On September 11, 2001 there were no Republicans or Democrats, only
Americans. And we all grieved together and helped each other in
whatever way we could. The attack on 9/11 was carried out because we
are Americans.
And YES, "We noticed."
There were many of us who prayed that as a black President you could
help unite this nation. In six months you have done more to destroy
this nation than the attack on 9/11. You have failed us.
YES, "We noticed."
September 11 is a day of remembrance for all Americans. You propose
to make 9/11 a "National Service Day." While we know that you don't
share our reverence for 9/11, we pray that history will report your
proposal as what it is, a disgrace.
YES, "We noticed."
You have made a mockery of our Constitution and the office that you
hold. You have embarrassed and slighted us in foreign visits and
policy.
YES, "We noticed."
We have noticed all these things. We will deal with you. When
Americans come together again, it will be to remove you from office.
Take notice.
If you agree with this, please pass it on. If not, I'm sorry.

McDonald
That is the problem with government. They don't care what the people or the Constitution say, they do what they want. You get it thrown out in court, they change the law and do it again and again.
The only way we can take back the country is to vote these folks out while we still can. The Soap Box has not worked, now for the Ballot Box, if that fails it will be a mess. . . .
I also hope that the incorporation of the Second Amendment means that we can now go after other states. I would love to see MA have to defend the foolish laws they have here such as the Approved Gun Roster, the Assault Weapon Ban, and the ability of the Chief of Police to refuse you a permit for no legal reason other than he feels like it. . . .
It is a small step but it is a step forward. It may take years but we are winning back the rights the liberal left has taken from us and doing it the same way, a little at a time so the average person does not even notice.
I am happy we won, and it will keep me smiling for a few days knowing we are taking our country back.

Relay for Life
I lost my dad and dad in law to cancer, so felt this would be a good thing for me to support. It was a heck of a night. Two hours walking in circles gives you plenty of time to think . . . . I was smart enough to take my MP3 player along and it was a bit creepy what songs popped up on the random play feature.
It was also a rather emotional bit of a walk as they had luminaries around the walkway that people had written the names of survivors on, and many that were in memory of someone. The ones that said DAD on them hit home.
It also hit me when I took over for one of the brothers from the lodge that was leaving. I really got to understand what it means to relieve someone and take over on a critical issue. Not sure what to say or how to describe the feeling but to be part of something this big was cool.
I actually made it through my two hours, walked somewhere between six and seven miles, and got done a bit after five. Was home by 5:30 and asleep shortly there after. It was hard to describe how this made me feel, but it was a great experience. I look forward to doing it again next year.

There are plenty of things they should be dealing with to get this state back on track. Attacking our rights will not stop the criminals and distracts them from the important work to be done to get people of this state back to work and our budget under control!
Please call them!!
Happy Fathersday!
I have spent the day with my kids, and dinner will be a trip to the Outback for a nice steak. Who could ask for a better day. . . . I figure I will finish off tonight with some work on one of my models and watching Top Shot on the History channel at 10. Great show. Now if I could just get some rain on that grass I just planted. . . .
On the other hand, it has been 4 years since my dad passed, and 2 since my dad in law joined him. As much fun as I have had with my family today I still miss both of them. I guess some things will never change.
Ambulance Driver has a great post on his dad who has also passed. Go give it a read, well worth the time. It made me thing a lot about my dad. I wish we had shared something like AD did with his dad and shooting. My dad was a doctor and a book worm, so we didn't do much together. We made up for it in his last few years when he was sick. I would go over every weekend and we would just sit and talk about life, what was going on with with me and the kids, how work was going and all that stuff. I was lucky and got him to go over what he could remember of our family history with me before he passed. It was a great time for me but I just wish I had not waited so long to do it.
I still miss him, always will. . . ..

Obama's total failure at leadership. . .
This is a link to a story that should never have happened. Once again
Obama is showing that he is not part of the solution, he is part of
the problem.
Our great leader, two months into the oil spill is still showing no
leadership, and letting a mix of government agents run things. And
since each has his own goals they are not talking or moving in the
same directions. Is it any wonder that they have not fixed this yet.
And as bad as all of this is it really scares the crap out of me when
I think about what this says. Obama can't lead during a growing
environmental disaster, what will he do if we have a terror attack or
something else that requires a quick response and leadership?
We are drowning in oil and all he can do is talk about alternate
energy. . . which has not been made viable yet for large scale use,
and does nothing to fix the oil issue in the gulf right now. . .
Obama is showing us why he should never have been elected. This is a
text book case on how not to run a crisis situation. . .
Obama's Oil Spill
Can someone please explain to me why they can do this? Talk about lack of understanding of the big picture here. . . .

Model Building Time
Most of you probably think I am nuts, and my family may agree with you but for me this is a big event. I started that model just after my son was born three years ago. You would be amazed at how little time he has left me to work on it. . . well, I didn't work on it for about two years but now all the decals are done and it is time to fine tune them then weather it and it is done!
Maybe I will even get to start another one!!

Mason News
idea is for us to get invovled in the lodge by doing a number of
things in the first year of membership and if you get it all done you
get an award. . . . a way to get you going in the craft.
I finished all my stuff about three weeks ago and submitted it. . . .
found out last night that I will get my award and pin at the Lodge of
Instruction this month!!! WOO HOO!
Personally I think this is a great idea and it was easy to do. It got
me doing things with the lodge, helped me to meet the other members
and really helped me to get setteled in. If you don't have one of
these in your area you may want to propose it to your Grand Lodge.
You can find info on it at the Mass Grand Lodge site. As I said, it
is fun, and helps to get you involved so you will stay involved. We
have way too many brothers who join then ask " what now?" and slowly
fade away. This has worked, and gets you going so you stay in the
lodge and get involved!!

Obama Care in Action
I live in MA where we already have mandatory health care. My wife had to go to the ER today due to dehydration and other things. After the Ambulance ride she has been sitting in a bed getting treatment in the hall because we have no rooms available. They may or may not move her into a room overnight. She is not the only patient in the halls either.
And don’t even get me started on the number of folks stacked up in sitting areas and in the waiting room too. The place was overflowing. Heck, I heard one guy tell them to take his wife off the waiting list as they were going to drive into Boston to get treatment since they had been sitting there so long. . . .
So, if you like third world medicine enjoy the Obamacare. You will get this kind of treatment too. It may have been broken before, but Obama has smashed our medical system. . . .
