MA is trying to tell businesses in NH that they have to collect Mass sales tax from MA residents that go there to buy stuff. . .
Talk about opening a can of worms without thinking. . . . If this idiot somehow gets this to pass in court (it shouldn't) then can you imagine how much it will cost the state of MA if all the folks that buy things here turn around and say we don't have to pay Mass tax, only our states tax that you have to send to them. . .
This is a bunch of crap only a liberal like Deval could come up with. Wasting money on a losing court case when we can't meet the budget as it is. . . ya good idea. . .

Karate Rank
Well, I survived the demo at class last night. Made a few dumb errors but lucky for me the teacher does not use this as the test. She has been testing me for a few weeks now on the stuff I need to know for Brown belt.
Got my new belt last night. . . Now with a bit of luck and if I can study enough I may be able to go for my first degree black next spring!

Gun Club still closed
We got a good review from the NRA but it is not official until the home office sees it and all that stuff
On the bad news front it looks like the nice folks that moved into the neighborhood want us closed down permanently. I bet they have been waiting for a shot at this for a long time. I don’t think they can legally do it but you never know in Mass. . .
I still want to know how they can justify this crap. You move into my town and now I am supposed to change everything to make you happy? WTF?
Folks, you bought your house fully knowing there is a gun club near it – If you didn’t then go sue your Realtor as the gun club has been there since the 1920’s or so, long before your house was . . . How they hell you get any rights to shut it down is beyond me. You don’t like the club well no one made you buy the house there. Move. You came second, deal with it.
In a nutshell they want damages for trespass, assault and nuisance. They also want an injunction to keep us closed. I want to know, can members of the club sue them for the loss of range time? Wouldn’t that be great? You pay for a membership but you can’t use it because these folks are preventing it. I would love to see them (the neighbors) have to pay us back our dues since the membership is useless because of their actions. . . . . . I know, but it is a nice dream. Since this is MA these people may actually win no matter what the law is so I guess I need to start looking for another range to use this summer. . .
And for the record I still have not heard of any proof that any of the bullets they claim stuck house came from the club. For all we know folks are out in the woods shooting that should not be and they hit the house if in fact any really were hit.
They claim to have the bullet, and I believe the one guy using that size gun offered to have it tested and then all that went quiet. Maybe they know the bullet did not come from the club . . .
We will see. . . .

Please, I really want to know why Katrina got so much bad press for the Feds and no one is talking about this. Now not as many people are involved this time but folks are still dying, it is over a great area, and no one is saying a thing.

To the Republicans - If you really want to be seen as conservatives and have any chance in 2010 then you need to do everything you can to kill this bill or at least cut out all but that 12% that actually creates jobs. . .
Taking our money to make jobs generates about $1 of jobs for each $1 you take.
Tax cuts have been shown to create $3 in jobs for each $1 you cut. . . . you figure it out
Government revenue has also been shown to go up when taxes go down. . . .

Mass Gun Laws at work
Well with all the gun laws in MA you would think we were safe. . .not so. . .
Seems like this winter the folks in Boston did not get the relief they normally see over the winter. Shooting and murders are up at the summer levels.
No one in Boston wants to admit the obvious - gun laws don't work. The city is broken.
You want to fix this? You need to get jobs into the city, stop taxing businesses out of Boston. You need to get Parents involved in their kids lives. You need to give the kids someplace to go that is save where they can hang out without being chased by the cops. . .

The middle class is leaving Boston due to the cost of living. They have decided that we are as dumb as a stump here in Ma. They now want to pass a helmet law for sledding. You will face a fine if your kid under 12 dares to sled without a helmet.
