Hospital Time Again

Well, T is home from a few more days in the hospital. . . got dehydrated again. But all is well with the baby and they are talking about scheduling the C-section for the 37th week if all the tests go well. That means that we have about three weeks to finish getting the house together. Since I have been under the weather for the last few days this will be running right down to the wire. . .

Anyway the end is in sight then the fun really starts

Boys are more fun

Well, for a son he is sure keeping Mom moving. . . . we spent last week with T in the hospital dealing with pregnancy stuff. Started with diabetes, and went on to heart stuff. . . enough to keep her for almost a week.

Anyway all is well now and things have calmed down. Mom has her instructions from the docs and it seems to be keeping the kid in line. Boy he was bouncing all around when the sugar rushes hit. Anyway here's to only a few weeks left. T can't wait for him to get out so she can eat like a person again - not to mention get a good nights sleep. . . .

Air Canada. . . NOT

Well, it was a nice trip north. . . . Tried to leave on Wednesday night, no go. Montreal was fogged in so all flights canceled. I did get in there the next day and things went well until I tried to get home. . . Snow in Boston so all flights canceled.

Did you know you can't rent a car to drive over the border if it is a one way trip? They want something like 700 dollars Canadian to do that. No bus and the train went to NY but took 10 hours. So another night up north with French TV (I don't speak it) or the few channels in English showing stuff I don't care about. The best shot I had was a bunch of Canadian comics doing a show in English trashing the US. . . . Nice. I get up the next day to go home and now the storm is here and I am trying to get out. . . .

Well with a bit of luck there was a break in the storm and we left only a few minutes late. I got home with 10 min to spare to get to my kids play (her first one). At least I made it. I hope not to see Canada again for a looonnnngggg time. . . .

Off to the Great White North

Hey

Well it looks like I am off to visit our northern neighbor soon. I have to go up and install some equipment for the company. Not so bad except I hate to travel and like leaving the US even less. . .
The fun part will be getting everything in place for the wife while I am traveling. The baby is still a few months away and she needs all the help she can get for now. . .

I have been putting a lot of time into my learning Six Sigma stuff. . . as it looks now this is the way to a better job. And I am still looking for direction for this blog. Not sure how political to go with it or if I should keep it light and stick to some hobbies like my model building or martial arts or something. So much going on right now that it is hard to get the time to write never mind decided what to write about.

Well - Thats all for now folks

Moving forward - slow but steady

Hi again. . .

Things have been busy at home. . . we are still working on getting an apartment added to the house for my Mom. It is moving forward but slowly. Not so good a day for her yesterday as her old dog Barren had to be put down. Poor old guy was about 15 years old and his back legs just didn’t want to work any more. He was a good dog and never really recovered from my Dad passing. . .

Work is going ok, but still would love something closer to home. I have started to really get into studying the Six Sigma stuff I can get my hands on. I am hopping to eventually go for some sort of certification in Six Sigma when I can – probably a green belt to start and eventually black. . .

Things with the baby are going well although mom is a bit tired of being pregnant at this point and can’t wait for him to arrive. . . still working on getting the house ready for him though so the fact he is not due till May is not such a bad thing after all. . .

Still fumbling around a bit as you can tell as far as the blog goes. . . so much going on in the real world that I don’t have a lot of time to write here and most of what I am doing would not be of interest to most anyway. . .

Oh well, at least things are moving in the right direction. . . More later. . ..

Winter Is Here

Well, we got snow finally, and lots of Ice. . . leave it to my car to break down in the bad weather. Anyway at least I got home with it. . . It should warm up into the 30s this weekend so maybe I can look at it and see what is going on. My bet is a trip to the shop and more $$ for me. . .

anyway, figured it was time to post something. I have added a bunch to my karate web page but still need to get photos of my models for my family page. Also need new photos of the family to add in too. I will roll it out to the family when John III gets here in may.

The kids are looking forward to spring, my oldest can't wait to get down to the range again and do some shooting. She likes it even though she tells me she is the only one who does it out of all her friends. Guess that is what I get trying to raise kids in the peoples republic of MA. . . .

Been a year

Well, it’s been a year since my dad passed. Going to be a long day I guess. . . all I can say is “still miss ya dad”. . . .

On a happier note I sent in a request to my favorite radio station for a song in memory of dad and they were good enough to play it! All I can say is that meant a lot to me I can tell ya.

Still going on the web pages. Got a lot done on the Karate side, but still have much to do on the family personal page. Hope to get more photos this weekend so I can do more posts and maybe work on my model section a bit. We will see.

Memory Failure

Well, still working on the web pages. I keep trying to get a few new katas written up for my page but you would be surprised at how bad my memory is - even with the old notes I have. Well, I guess I will see if I can walk through the kata this weekend and maybe remember more of it then. Guess I should have taped them. It is easy to find the standard kata on You Tube, but it gets hard with you start looking for weapons kata. Anyway, two thumbs up for You Tube for some katas. . . .

Web Pages

Well, things are moving on. I have a number of pages on my Karate web site done and I have done some work on the family web site. So much to do and so little time as they say. Not sure when to start passing around the emails about the pages. . . May wait till the baby, may do it sooner. Don't think they are ready for prime time yet. . . .

Still Going

Hey all, not that anyone is reading this yet but anyway. . . . Life goes on and I figured I should post something so things stay active. The baby is doing well and all, keeping mom from doing much though. . . .

The girls are still very excited about the whole thing. I think they will be a bit upset when the baby gets here and all it does is eat, sleep, cry and mess up diapers. . . well anyway, they will find out soon enough. I am not exactly looking forward to the sleep depravation myself.

I have to start working on a direction for this thing I guess. . . I figure it is a good place to ramble on about all sorts of stuff from family to politics but we will see. Mostely been working on my web page at this point getting the photos and karate stuff in place. I need to do a lot of work on my Shotkan info. . . .
