Question 1 in MA

Studies have shown up to $0.41 out of every dollar you pay the government is wasted.

They claim if we have no income tax your property tax will go up – it can’t go up by more than the 2.5% it normally does without you passing an override vote.

Why would you vote NO on 1? Vote Yes on 1 to end the income tax.

Look at it this way, even if you turn around and spend the money on an increase in your property tax at least the money would be staying in your town. I doubt the state gives my town near what it takes from us in property taxes. I would rather have a higher property tax that I can go to the town meeting and have input into how it is spent than just give it to the state where they can “spread the wealth”. . . .

YES ON ONE!
