Well, with the jobless rate up in MA and taxes not bringing in the money they use to along with the economic crisis our governor has decided it is time to make some budget cuts. . . .
Guess what – He says this is going to hurt. They plan on cutting back on public safety (cops), they say to expect longer lines at government offices like the registry. . . basically they say expect to feel the pain of the cuts. . .
Tell me, why do I think that this has nothing to do with real budget cuts and everything to do with Question 1 to eliminate the income tax?
This is Massachusetts, they are going to show us who is in charge and make sure they scare us into not voting for Question 1. This is the pre show, see how much it hurts? See what we will do if you cut our budget? Now of course they are not cutting hacks from the payrolls. . . we are still paying big bucks for toll takers on the pike, and using cops as flagmen at construction sites. And our governor is still driving around in a new Caddy . . . .
Sorry, I still think they are crying wolf and we need to pass Question 1. Not like they will do it anyway. Last time we voted a reduction in the income tax and they said FU and didn’t cut a thing. They won’t this time either. We need to vote some new folks into office that will do what the voters tell them. . . .
Yes it will hurt, they will make sure it hurts to punish us for keeping our money. Then we can vote in new people and start to rebuild this state.
And if you really want to be scared, if Obama gets in we will bring the MA show on the road and go national with all the problems of this state. . . Obama is nothing more than Patrick on steroids. . .
Hang in there folks, fight a good fight and we may still win this on the state and national level. . .
