I never thought I would see the day. . . . A MA judge actually put this State Senator Drunk Driver in jail for breaking his probation. . . .


Only in MA can a State Senator think he can get away with this. . . usually does too. Just three days after getting put under house arrest he failed a breathalyzer test. Twice. . . Blamed it on his teath whitening strips. . . .
Ya, even a MA judge could not go for that one. . . .
wow - got a year in jail. He will probably be out in a month but it’s the thought that counts. Every now and again the Justice System almost works in this state.

Mass Gains population!

So the news today is Massachusetts has actually gained population (about 3K people if memory serves) and the Governor is all over it as good news.

Since the state is in a recession, jobs are leaving the state, folks are un-employed and can't find a new job. Taxes are going up, Government is spending like a drunken sailor.

I have only one question for the state - Who are these folks? And by that I mean do they work? are they here legally or are they what I expect . . . . un-employed illegals here to live off our welfare state and get our free medical that the state gives. . . . .

Somehow I think if you get all the facts this news story won't be seen as good news by most of the tax paying people of the state. . . .

Mass Madness

Today we got a good example of both sides of the insanity we call Massachusetts. . . ..

First, the news this morning on the way to work was all about the liberal nuts in Amherst MA who want to have the folks released from Gitmo live there. . . they assure us that they will counsel them. I am sure they are just misunderstood terrorists. . .

Then that got knocked out of the news with this one (from CNN). Seems that we had our own home grown alleged terrorists here that went abroad to get training and then wanted to shoot up a mall in the area. No word on which one. What that matters I don't know. Here in MA they know that few folks carry a gun and the laws are insane so they will have free run of the joint to kill until the cops show. And they had plans for that too.

We got lucky and they were dumb and got caught.

We have a state full of sheep, and we want to bring the bad guys here. . . then surprise, we already have them here. It is just a matter of time until someone takes advantage of how our "leaders" have disarmed us and made us weak. Just a matter of time.

That is why I carry, and now I will be sure never to leave the house unarmed if at all possible. No more running to the store without something on me. . . . you should too.

It is time folks, get your permits if you have to, those of you in free states, take advantage of it and carry. The ass you save may be yours - or your kids. . . ..

This is a GOAL bill that will help clean up the mess that they call the gun laws in this state.

Mass Illegals. . .

For all of you Mass Liberals that worry about the criminal aliens here have no fear.

Part of that sales tax increase the nice Governor is hitting us with will go to keep us paying for the insurance for something like 30K illegals in the state.

Phew! I feel better knowing that. I would hate to have them go HOME or something.

We are truly fucked if we don't wake up and get spending under control. We can start by only spending on the folks here LEGALLY. . . . .. What a joke this state has become. I swear the folks in charge must see California's going bankrupt as some kind of badge of liberal honor or something cause they sure seem to want us to follow. . .

Update - TV said illegals, paper says they are legal immigrants. Still I think this shows that the state mandate that you have health care does not work. Socialized medicin will cost more - here is your proof. This program was supposed to be funded. Why is it already in the red after two years or so?? Ya, I know, there never was a way it would not go into the red . . . .

Strike Three (or is it higher?)

Seems another Speaker of the House for Massachusetts has been put under indictment for crooked dealing. . . . . he makes the third in a row (for those counting) to leave the post under indictments. . . . .

The funny part is 77% of respondents to a local paper poll say they are fed up with the games on Beacon Hill and that our reps there are basically not honest.

Too bad they will probably all get voted back in next time around no matter who they are or what they have done. . . .

Too bad there is NO Republican or third party here with any strength to run against them. . . too bad no other party will come forward and run for change. . .

Too bad if they did the sheep here would still vote in crooks back in. . . . we get what we deserve.

If not for family I would happily move out of this state. . . when the folks are gone I will. . . .

MA sales tax goes up

And more money goes out of state. . . .

Once again out state has shown that the folks in charge feel the rest of us serfs are here to serve them and fill their pockets. They ignore the damage they are doing to us in a bad economy and we will vote them back into office anyway next time around.

They even got away with passing the increase to 6.5% sales tax by a voice vote so there is no record of how they voted. . another way to avoid the voters getting upset over it.

This state is in trouble. Jobs are leaving, pay is stagnant or going down and they raise taxes. How much more of a disconnect between the average WORKING person and the government can there be? Is any state other than CA this insane?

Again and again they do this. You want to fix things how about this - if the budget is short 5% then ALL programs across the board take a 5% hit. Deal with it. Times are hard all over and there is no room for pet projects. Everything needs to be on the table to get cut so that we can get this state back on track without taxing the people out of their homes and this state.

MA is broken, I hope people remember this the next election and start making government pay for it's action at the voting booth!

We are truly lost in this state. I posted against the tax on facebook and got feedback that we don't pay enough and if it saves a job we should pay it. . . . What ever happened to small government and taking care of yourself? When did we give up our freedoms to feed at the state trough and become slaves to Beacon Hill?

This makes me sick. Sure, cuts will hurt at first but like any addiction you have to pay the price to get clean. Once we get back to a small government and less government programs things will be better for all and our economy and state will be stronger. We have drifted so far from our roots it will take a lot of work and pain to get back to the real American

Another Mass Moment - Barnstable County

In a nutshell what they want to do is charge you for driving over the bridges to Cape Cod. They may only bill non Cape folks. How? Well they want to use cameras to take license photos, then match them to you and send a bill.

So to get the toll they need to add cameras, people to read the photos and the cost to mail out the bills. And if they pick the number wrong you get a bill even if you didn't go there and have to prove it was not you. . . .

See they claim that the Cape folks get stuck with the bill to care for the roads and bridges when over the summer the population grows to 3x normal with tourists. And the tourists don't pay for the roads they use. . . Um excuse me but the Cape lives on Tourist Dollars folks. . . they pay for rooms, food, things to do. . . you get plenty of money out of them. If you don't like tourists then tell them not to come, don't screw them more. . .

My answer to the Cape folks is simple - if you don't want us to come to the cape and spend our money, we won't come. You folks pass this and I hope the rest of us have the brains to Boycott the Cape!

More Mass Moments

Warning folks, it is all over the radio today on 96.9. . . The state no longer sends out a reminder when your license to drive runs out so you can renew. They then hit you with Driving without a license . . . Guess they got one of the talk show hosts for driving w/o a license over this . . .

Nice Eh? you get a fine and a record because they stopped sending out a reminder so they can drive up income for the RMV. . . . and you get your car towed too. . .

You have been warned, so check your license before a cop does. . . .

Only in MA can you have the City of Boston use PUBLIC funds to build a mosque but now the folks are screaming bloody murder when Boston College (a private Catholic school) put up crosses and other Catholic symbols on the school ground and in the classrooms with it's own money.

I don't get it but then I am not a liberal either. . .

What did they expect at a CATHOLIC school the Star of David?

And these folks are the teachers? That is scary.

Big Brother Patrick will know where you are. . .

Looks like Massachusetts (Gov. Patrick) wants us all to have a tracking tag so they know where we are. . . You can read more on it HERE

This has two down sides –

1 – This is a HUGE invasion of privacy. The state should not have any way of tracking a free people as they move about their daily business. This should not even be thought about in a free state! We are not criminals and I for one refuse to be treated like one by our good Governor. I will remember this at election time.

2 – This WILL be abused. First they will use it to tax us, next comes speeding tickets then who knows what. The state can not be trusted with this kind of power over a free people.

This is insane! It shows how much our government here in MA hates us for our freedom. If this passes we will all be on a leash with Big Brother on the other end. . . freedom will be gone. It is not much different from being asked for your papers when you drive out of town and having to tell them where you are going, when you will be there and when you will get back.

If this ever see the light of day we should all be VERY scared as to where this state and country are going. . . even more than we are now. . .

And most of all - Remember Who wanted this when he comes up for election in 2010. . .



If you live in MA, write your reps and tell them where they can put this bill if it ever comes to light. . . .

Mass strikes again

MA is trying to tell businesses in NH that they have to collect Mass sales tax from MA residents that go there to buy stuff. . .

Talk about opening a can of worms without thinking. . . . If this idiot somehow gets this to pass in court (it shouldn't) then can you imagine how much it will cost the state of MA if all the folks that buy things here turn around and say we don't have to pay Mass tax, only our states tax that you have to send to them. . .

This is a bunch of crap only a liberal like Deval could come up with. Wasting money on a losing court case when we can't meet the budget as it is. . . ya good idea. . .

They have decided that we are as dumb as a stump here in Ma. They now want to pass a helmet law for sledding. You will face a fine if your kid under 12 dares to sled without a helmet.

Now we are dumb here (look who we keep voting for) but this is a bit nuts. . . what ever happened to parenting? Every day we seem to be giving up more of our rights as parents to the state. . . .

Folks WTF? Wake up. Don't the cops have more important things to do than check for helmets on the slopes? This is like the seat belt law. You are too dumb to know when you need to use a seat belt so we will make it the law.

This state takes Nannyhood to a new level ever day. You would think they would have better things to do with their time like FIX THE ECONOMY or our insane CRIME RATES IN BOSTON but no, we need to deal with kids sleding. . . .

Mass Moments

House Speaker Salvatore F. DiMasi will resign tomorrow at the end of the day. . . for those keeping track this is the third in a row that have had to leave office due to "legal issues". In other words they got caught and resigned so they could keep their pensions instead of getting tossed out and loosing it.

This state is rotten from the top down. This is the danger of a one party system. We have so few Republicans or Independents in office here it makes no difference. Who do we call to get the Fed in here to check them out? Of course if they do then we may need to hold another election to fill some vacant seats. . ..

They now want to test our kids in school and decide who was fat and who was not then send home a note to the parents to fix it. . . .

Can you say slippery slope? What comes next? I can tell you easily - what good is a rule if they can't force you to do something about it? The next step will be that if you don't get your kid back to what they call a healthy weight you will get some kind of punishment. . . you will get a fine or who knows what . . .

And lets not even start on the damage to the child of being publicly called fat by the school. I don't care what they say word will get out, it always does. You think this helps the kids? You think we have problems with them having eating disorders now due to Hollyweird you ain't seen nothin yet folks. This has not been thought out, if it had it would be a dead issue already.

We need to slap the fool that came up with this quickly! Deval Patrick needs to be removed from office next time around and taught that we don't need the state messing with our family's. Folks know when they are fat Deval. My doctor shows me where my kids fit on the height and weight scales every year when they get a check up. The schools do not have any business in this. If my doctor is happy then the school can go to hell with what they want.

Which brings up our schools. We need to take them back too. BS ideas like this just encourage them to think they know what is better for my kid than I do. I will tell you what, you DON'T.

Teachers have one job only. Teach my kid. And in many Mass schools they can't even do that right. (Charter schools score best on teaching kids here and Deval just gave into the unions and said we won't buld any more charter schools, see my earlier post on that one. . . ) When it comes to what they eat or do outside of school just butt out, it is not your business and you have NO SAY in it so SHUT UP. I am the parent, deal with it. You want to have total control over a child then have your own kid and keep you hands off mine.

Deval Patric strikes again! "Together we CAN" mess up this state beyond recognition. Keep it up. I pray we wake up and vote him out soon. . . .

Another Mass Moment

The grades are in – In Boston, the Charter Schools are the best, with public schools a distant second and the pilot schools are third.

So you know what we are doing? We are going to make more Pilot Schools. You see they are run by the Boston School Board and have UNION teachers in them so we like them. Charter Schools run themselves and answer to the parents with no union so we don’t want more of them.

When are we going to face the facts that the day of the Union is over. It was good when it started but now they don’t help anyone but themselves and our kids are paying the price for it. Teachers need to be accountable for the effectiveness of how they teach. The protection they get means the bad ones stay and the good ones leave the field for private enterprise where they can get ahead on merit. Our system is broken and it looks like Mr. Yes We Can Patrick won’t be fixing it . . . .

Only in MA can the state cops get a bonus of $5500 bucks for PASSING their physical tests. . . .

Yep, for being fit for duty they get a bonus. Now I am all for backing the cops but I don’t see why we should pay a bonus for doing your job and meeting the minimum requirements. . . I don’t get a bonus for doing my standard duties.

Bonuses are for doing things above and beyond the call of the job. But not here in MA. Is there any more questions as to why this state can not make ends meet? This is what they want more taxes and tolls for? To pay folks a bonus for doing their normal job. . . . .

God I love this state. . . I can’t wait till this country gets back on it’s feet and I can get out of this state. . . .
