So all that great security that we were sold does not work. . . why does this not surprise me. The sheep were fooled, but not the bad guys. . .

As usually the answer is more fake security and lots of show for the sheep. Too bad things won't change. We are a day late and a dollar short.
Luck was the only thing that saved those folks. What happens next time. . . .
Update -
Now they claim that they stopped the attack. What BS. The bomb didn't work. He screwed it up. If his bomb had been good we would be out one airplane folks. . . had nothing to do with us stopping him. . . Nice spin though. . .
