Cops have to GET to you and that takes time you may not have. Even in the best area you are looking at 5-10 minutes before help gets there. . . Bad guy can do a lot of damage in that time and be gone with you dead on the floor. . .
The point of a restraining order is to help defend your actions in court if you have to defend yourself because the object of that order ignored it. It is only Plan A, you need a Plan B just in case.

Disgusting Anti-Rights ad
Mayor Bloomberg you have lost. . .
You want to know how I know this? When I see your latest ads to crush our rights I know why we are winning.
The first ad is an obvious actor who does not know how to handle the gun you gave him pretending to be a gun owner who supports your attack on our rights. . . no real gun owner would hold the weapon that way. . . Nice try. . . this ad has already failed and been mocked all over the internet. . . that is a loss for you.
So take two - you start dragging out the grieving families of the Newtown shooting to talk about a subject that again they obviously know little about. . . they are all supporting the new gun control you are pushing that we all know and many have admitted on your own side that these laws would not have stopped the shooting and won't prevent another one. Did you tell them that they are pushing to take our rights but it won't fix anything??? You are a tyrant looking to make your subjects helpless. Nothing more.
You put these poor folks on camera to ask us to give up our rights and we know it is not the gun, but the madman that was the problem in Newtown. . . and these new laws you want do NOTHING to address him or how he got his weapons. . . And you won't admit most of the laws you want to make national were already in place in Newtown (has an Assault Weapons Ban) and they did not work. . . they didn't work in the Virginia Tech shooting either where he was limited to 10 rd mags and it didn't stop that shooter either.
Lets look at how many EXISTING laws he broke in Newtown -
26 - murder at the school
1 - murder of mom
1 - gun on school grounds
1 - illegal possession of a gun without a license

What Bias CNN???

This should make you sick. Two black teens, one 14 and one 17 that CNN calls boys shot a 14 month old child in the face killing her after they shot her mom because they had no money. . . .
Note CNN does not scream about race on this one unlike the Travon case where Travon was shot and killed while beating a man. .. .
So it is OK for black teens with illegal guns to kill white folks but if a Hispanic man being beaten kills a black kid with a legally carried gun it is all about race . . . .

Folks at 17 you can't have a pistol, and I am pretty sure robbing folks at gunpoint and then attempting to kill mom and killing a 13 mo old is all illegal. .

They should both be up for death row, but we all know that won't happen. They will try them as kids, and they will be out of jail in maybe 10 years. . . bet the 14 year old will out at 18. . .

DHS bought 2600 light armored tanks - The kind the Army uses in Iraq

End of the AWB II?
Folks it is time to celebrate a bit with a small win . . . Harry Reid has pulled the AWB Feinstein had put out there off the table. . .
FOR NOW. . . .
Folks I don't think it is over in the least. . as others have said you can not trust anyone in DC at this point. I can easily see them put this back out there in a day or two or wait a month. . . whenever they think they have a shot they will push again. Or it may end up attached in the dead of night to another bill and rushed through before we can react. . .
No, they are not done. They think we are dumb (well look who we voted back into the White House) and they think they are better than us. . .
They may also be waiting to see if the UN will do the job for them. . . if they think they can pass that and get away with it.
Folks if you want to keep your right you will have to stay alert. We need them to know that if ANY new gun laws make it out of DC they will be removed from office no if and or but about it.
The Republicans are not to be trusted either. It is time we take our notes and remove anyone who is not supporting and defending the Constitution. We can rebuild our country but it will be long and hard. If we want to do it without bloodshed then we need to stay on DC and keep them in line.

The basics is here in MA you need a licence to have a gun, even just in the home. . . these cops let their permits run out so were carrying illegally. . . if you or I did that we would likely see jail time and never get another permit. We do have a 90 day grace period if your permit is getting renewed but that is not the case here.
Sorry but I don't think cops should have a pass. We are all equal under the law and as such they should have to follow the same rules we do.
So instead of getting punished they get a vacation. . . . you wanna bet if they got treated like a normal person these crazy laws would be changed in an instant?
This is why we can't have exemptions to a law. It is either a good law we all follow or a bad one and we get rid of it. I can's stand it when they pass a bad law but since it is only on the serfs it is ok, the ruling class is not expected to follow it.

Gun Control Takes a hit
So no new Assault Weapons ban. . . for now
This is a win no doubt, but we are dealing with Democrats and take it from a Mass resident, they lie and cheat and will do anything to sneak this into another bill if they can.
We need to keep fighting and make sure they understand that it is not just the AWB that has no support, but gun control itself is dead. NO DEALS, NO NEW LAWS.
The American people know guns are not the problem, we know it is our right to own and carry (Bear arms)
We have cleaned out the gun store not to turn them into the Government, but to make sure we can force the government to follow the Constitution, and replace it if needed. That is our right as a free people.
This is only the first step. We need to stop any new laws, then work on getting rid of the old ones. If you have a clean record that is it, you can buy any gun, and carry it. That is what our Constitution says and that is what it means.
Stay strong folks, we won this round but we need to keep fighting both at the federal and state level to stay free!
