Air Canada. . . NOT

Well, it was a nice trip north. . . . Tried to leave on Wednesday night, no go. Montreal was fogged in so all flights canceled. I did get in there the next day and things went well until I tried to get home. . . Snow in Boston so all flights canceled.

Did you know you can't rent a car to drive over the border if it is a one way trip? They want something like 700 dollars Canadian to do that. No bus and the train went to NY but took 10 hours. So another night up north with French TV (I don't speak it) or the few channels in English showing stuff I don't care about. The best shot I had was a bunch of Canadian comics doing a show in English trashing the US. . . . Nice. I get up the next day to go home and now the storm is here and I am trying to get out. . . .

Well with a bit of luck there was a break in the storm and we left only a few minutes late. I got home with 10 min to spare to get to my kids play (her first one). At least I made it. I hope not to see Canada again for a looonnnngggg time. . . .

Off to the Great White North

Hey

Well it looks like I am off to visit our northern neighbor soon. I have to go up and install some equipment for the company. Not so bad except I hate to travel and like leaving the US even less. . .
The fun part will be getting everything in place for the wife while I am traveling. The baby is still a few months away and she needs all the help she can get for now. . .

I have been putting a lot of time into my learning Six Sigma stuff. . . as it looks now this is the way to a better job. And I am still looking for direction for this blog. Not sure how political to go with it or if I should keep it light and stick to some hobbies like my model building or martial arts or something. So much going on right now that it is hard to get the time to write never mind decided what to write about.

Well - Thats all for now folks

Moving forward - slow but steady

Hi again. . .

Things have been busy at home. . . we are still working on getting an apartment added to the house for my Mom. It is moving forward but slowly. Not so good a day for her yesterday as her old dog Barren had to be put down. Poor old guy was about 15 years old and his back legs just didn’t want to work any more. He was a good dog and never really recovered from my Dad passing. . .

Work is going ok, but still would love something closer to home. I have started to really get into studying the Six Sigma stuff I can get my hands on. I am hopping to eventually go for some sort of certification in Six Sigma when I can – probably a green belt to start and eventually black. . .

Things with the baby are going well although mom is a bit tired of being pregnant at this point and can’t wait for him to arrive. . . still working on getting the house ready for him though so the fact he is not due till May is not such a bad thing after all. . .

Still fumbling around a bit as you can tell as far as the blog goes. . . so much going on in the real world that I don’t have a lot of time to write here and most of what I am doing would not be of interest to most anyway. . .

Oh well, at least things are moving in the right direction. . . More later. . ..
